An intimate and authentic boutique resort set on a lush paradise island with a sheltered lagoon and stunning house reef.
Volcanic mountains, emerald valleys and tropical jungle provide the perfect setting for this secluded resort which offers an escape from Fiji’s tourist islands and was voted ‘Fiji’s Leading Spa Resort’ at the World Travel Awards 2016. There are plenty of opportunities for relaxation or adventure with a host of activities available. Cross a bridge to the Jungle Spa which is home to the only Guinot spa in the South Pacific. If you can't wait to explore the pristine coral reef and colourful marine life then you can snorkel right off the beach. Daily snorkelling trips by boat to nearby reefs can also be arranged and a number of world-class diving sites are within easy reach – just ten minutes or less by boat. Immerse yourself in the Fijian way of life with local ceremonies such as a traditional kava ceremony where you can watch kava root being pounded into a fine powder by local warriors before enjoying Fiji's national drink.
The resort is centred around the sociable Bure Kalau where the ambience is very relaxed and there's no need to dress up for dinner. Listen out for the blowing of the conch horn which signals dinner and join your fellow guests for pre-dinner cocktails at sunset. Fresh seasonal ingredients are used to create a fusion of Fijian Pacific Rim cuisine for the daily changing menus. Don't miss local specialities such as traditional Fijian kokoda walu – an entrée of fish marinated in lime juice and coconut cream.
The thatched bures and villas are tucked away in gardens on the beach. Traditional in style, with high ceilings, mahogany floors and Fijian art, they have spacious living areas, outdoor showers and ocean views. Place your 'do not disturb' coconut outside your Beachfront Bure and enjoy the incredible sunset from the comfort of your hammock. The split-level Honeymoon Villa has its own courtyard with a Jacuzzi bath, Honeymoon Bures have a Jacuzzi spa pool and the luxurious Royal Beach House with private plunge pool and Jacuzzi.
