2019 summer holiday
Excellent holiday as always when you stay with Jumeirah hotels. Only one issue the free shuttle bus service between the hotel Wild Wadi and the mall had been reduced so need to spend more on taxi than I have done previously due to the location on the outer ring of the Palm.
First time in dubai
This was our first holiday in dubai i travelled with 3 young children. We had heard alot about top end hotels bending over backwards to make guest most welcome, but to be honest this was not our first impression at the zs. Our flight arrived early morning we had put in a prior request for early checkin and we got to the hotel only to be told to pay £215 for 4 hours of room which was empty at time of arrival....or wait on the sofas...we decided to wait the kids were tired so the slept on the sofas in the lobby (not a good look for the hotel) so the manager sorted out a room after 2 hours. After this things did get better, housekeeping staff were amazing, resturants (nafoorah being the best)were very nice but should provide water for free with the half board if zs can provide free water at the pool and in rooms then why not on the table? Keep your guests hydrated in the heat please. Pool area and gardens are really lovely as is the spa. The room itself was as we expected with a beautiful bathroom and nice view out to the sea/marina. Travelling with children we were charged around £84 for a damaged bed sheet due to a childrens feltip pen, which i didnt think was fair but they insisted the stain could not be removed. We went to wild wadi on the shuttle bus which the kids loved but for other places the shuttle didnt run past 6pm I would say its a good hotel with some flaws... checkin staff should be more friendly, complimentary dates and nuts for eid in reception (is that the best they can do?) and because its a 'high end' hotel expect to be leaving with a big bill on your room at checkout (for us this was mostly the cost of water at 30aed a bottle and of course the bed sheet) Would we visit again?....maybe after a few years or maybe try a different hotel in dubai
The ultimate staycation
Absolutely loved this hotel; service was incredible, food was amazing (check out Amala!) and the spa is heaven - check out the snow room. Very busy but that didn't reduce service levels. Definitely recommend.
Just returned from an eight night half board stay with my wife and son at the Zabeel Saray - some anxieties prior to trip due to reading about building work on the new marina near the Palm.... what an amazing eight days we have had, hotel staff so helpful and kind, hotel was spotless, our room amazing (bath for a football team), amazing swimming pool, water and ice lolly’s all day and access to multiple restaurants to meet everyone’s dietary needs. Please note you are able to dine in any of the other Jumeirah hotels in Dubai when on half board - book early and some have a small charge but well worth every penny, will be returning soon. The only one draw back if I had to find one is this hotel is some distance to town, other Jumeirah hotels, the water park you have free access to, although the hotel lay on a buses five times a day we did have to pay out for taxis which were not expensive but soon added up....
Amazing 75th birthday at our favourite hotel!
We have stayed at this hotel many times each year and it hoenstly gets better and better. As it was my husbands 75th birthday they pulled out all the stops with celebration cake and wine in our upgraed room thanks to Kamilla and Naval from the reception team. There was also cake and staff singing happy brithday at our dinner table (much to my husbands embarassment) thanks to Sarah for her lovely smile and all her hard work in Imperium restaurant to arrange this. The teams who work in each department all flow into one, our room was kept beautifully clean and well stocked with oru favourite amenities thanks to Alexander from housekeeping. Breakfast from the La Plaj team, headed up by the wonderful Adam and including Shubhi, Toms and Meshack was a delight. The food was perfection and the team remembered all our likes - the table, what we wanted to eat and drink and all served up with the smiles that are a hallmark of this hotel's staff. Nothing is too much trouble for guests and there aim is to plealse. I'm going back for Christmas which looks set to be another sumptuous affair. A big thank you to the General Manager and his staff for excellent personal development of the teams and a standard that would be hard to beat anywhere.
