World-class golf and white-sand beaches at Constance Lemuria

Our resort is home to three beautiful beaches and the only golf course in the Seychelles …

Constance Lemuria is known for its world-class golf course and white-sand beaches where turtles nest. Completely refurbished in 2016, the five-star resort is named after the legend of Lemuria, a mythical lost continent thought to once lie between Africa and India. We’re most famous for our 18-hole golf course, which is the only one in the Seychelles and has hosted the European Senior Tour twice, boasting incredible ocean views.

We’re located on the north-west coast of Praslin Island, surrounded by three beaches. Grande Anse Kerlan is wonderful at sunset and between October and February, turtles come here to lay their eggs – we even have a turtle manager who takes care of the babies. Then we have Petite Anse Kerlan, which is perfect for swimming and home to fish, rays and baby lemon sharks. On the other side of the golf course you’ll find Anse Georgette Beach which is one of the most beautiful on the planet and a good dolphin-spotting area.

Constance Lemuria was built in the middle of nature with respect for the environment; we’re Green Globe certified for our sustainable policies and design. The architecture blends into the forest, with thatched roofs and lots of wood, stone and pink granite. Some buildings are set on top of boulders to get the best ocean views and each one is located within steps of the beach. There are just 19 rooms, plus nine villas, so it doesn’t feel like a big, busy resort – we have a ratio of two team members and two hectares per guest.

The nature theme continues with our cascading swimming pools nestled among rocks and coconut trees. We have a PADI dive centre and various hiking trails that lead to panoramic viewpoints; on wellness Wednesdays I like to take guests to the best spots. There’s also lots of places to explore on Praslin, we can arrange a visit to Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, a UNESCO site which looks like Jurassic Park.

There’s plenty of choice when it comes to dining at Constance Lemuria too. Legend Restaurant offers high-end buffets and at Takamaka, you can enjoy sushi with your feet in the sand. Guests love the Nest, which lies on the rocks at the tip of the beach. It’s set on stilts and named for the white tropic birds that nest there. At Diva, an upscale restaurant by the golf course, our Catalan chef serves Michelin-level food with fine wines from all over world.
