The Maasai Mara spa with wildlife views, Mara Bushtops

The Amani Spa at Bushtops Camp is famous for its African-inspired treatments and supreme wildlife views. As you relax, you get the chance to watch all kinds of animals wander across our private conservancy. We’re incredibly proud to have been named the best safari spa in Africa for three consecutive years at The World Luxury Spa Awards.

Our spa is unique because it’s built from local materials in the style of an African village, with traditional round houses and grass thatched roofs. Inside, there are tranquil treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Set in a peaceful area slightly away from camp, it overlooks our natural salt lick, which is the largest in the greater Mara area and draws plenty of animals.

You can choose from a menu of massages and holistic body treatments, from body polishes and facials to classic Swedish and aromatherapy massages. Many guests like to try our signature treatments: the Kurhula Ritual with coconut oil and the Jewel of Africa massage which uses ancient warrior sticks and warm oils. We use Terres D’Afrique products which are made from native African plants, roots and seeds.

The centrepiece is our solar heated infinity pool, where you can look over the beautiful Maasai Mara hills and watch giraffes and elephants making their way to our salt lick. By night, the pool floor is lit with the Orion star constellation, so it feels like you’re swimming through the stars. It’s the perfect way to end your day of safari adventure.
