It was our honeymoon, and the arrangements made were so dreamy.we loved every second of our stay there,food was amazing, it was luxurious and worth every penny.we stayed in overwater bunglow and luckily there were fishes, turtles and stingray right out of our bunglow.. nothing less than amazing.. Thank you cinnamon for great hospitality.. We will come back so soon...♥️♥️♥️
We stayed here for 7 nights on our honeymoon in an over water suite. These 7 nights were the best of our lives and we could not fault a thing. All staff from arrival to departure were amazing, so attentive and friendly the whole time. There was a large variety of food every day and this was so delicious. We particularly enjoyed the crab racing and bingo nights! Our suite was just flawless, paradise. Each night we had a bath overlooking the ocean. Such an incredible experience. Overall l could not fault, we are hoping to come again. Why go anywhere else in the Maldives when you can stay here
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in The Maldives. Staff were great, especially Lasan in the restaurant who took great care of us. Room was always cleaned and kept nice. Staff did a shark feeding for us to see which was amazing.
Great property, but service can improve a lot
In a nutshell: Visited with spouse and 2 infants in Jan 2020. Wonderful property, great rooms, clean beach, nice All Inclusive plan, good food plans. However, the service lacks - waiters in the restaurant, house keeping, reception etc. There was no Resort Manager or in-charge who would have visibility into issues, or be an escalation point. Details: Room: Pros: We were booked in the Garden View Duplex rooms. However, we were upgraded to the Beach view rooms on arrival. This was probably because of the ongoing construction work in the garden view area. The room was beautiful, huge, directly opening to the beach. The bathroom was huge and beautiful. Bed was comfortable. There was a basic mini-bar, and basic tea/coffee amenities. Cons: The room didn't have an extension phone line to call any of the facilities. They, instead, provided a cell phone to call the reception only. This was a little inconvenient as we had to keep the phone charged. And we could not reach other facilities directly (spa, restaurant etc.). Also, our room was located at the very distant end of the line of rooms, and was next to a shed where carpentry work was going on. This created noise issues a couple of times, and we had to raise it. The sound was stopped instantly, though. The bathrooms had mosquito and fruit-fly problems, since it had an open window. Restaurant: Pros: A huge buffet spread for each of the 3 meals. Good variety. Every room had a pre-decided table. This was good as we didn't have to ever wait for an empty table. Our babies had dedicated feeding chairs. The waiters Ahmed and Hassan were very cordial and helpful. Cons: Not enough food options for infants. No specific help extended to prepare anything specific for the infants. We were initially allotted a table very far in a corner, and we had to ask twice to change it to a better table. It seemed as if there were a few tables vacant, so we got a better one. One incident where a waiter acted surprised when we asked for an additional cloth napkin for the babies. That wasn't expected. Also, we had to request for glasses and water a couple of times, as it wasn't served for long after we started. Beach: Pros: Very quiet and clean beach area. Blue waters. Didn't get a chance to go snorkeling or diving. Cons: Beach towels were not to found. There was no place to get them. Pool: Decent pool. Nice kids pool as well. Housekeeping: Overall the housekeeping lacked quality. It was promised that the room will be cleaned twice. But that rarely happened in our 4 night stay. The tea/coffee sachets were rarely replaced. The lotion etc were to be requested for after 2-3 days. Children's play area: There is an outdoor play area, which had a decent collection of slides etc. However, we lacked an indoor play area for infants, which would have been very helpful. Even an activity room for a little older kids will help keep the kids occupied while parents can relax. Misc: Construction work was still visible in the property, with continuous movement of material and debris through major walking paths. This was a bit inconvenient. There was a buggy that was available to transport guests to different parts of the resort. But we were told that the buggy cannot come to our room because of certain rules. However, we saw the buggy outside our room on the last day. It miraculously was allowed, but not to carry us. There was a beach party one day in the evening because of which they changed the venue of evening snacks. But this wasn't informed to us. To summarize, we had a good vacation because of the good rooms, location and view, and good food. The service aspects were lacking. There is a lot to improve. A resort manager or an escalation point will do wonders for guests.
Our stay in Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives made a huge difference in our honeymoon experience. My husband and I would like to whole heartedly thank all the staff (most especially Patrice, Shiela, Zea, Aileen, Zhaul and Latheef) for a spectacular customer service. Your great work dedication made our stay more comfortable and worth remembering. We highly recommended Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives!!! The place is just amazing and the service is beyond compare!!!
