My home away from Home
Love Baobab its unfortunate after 10 or more visits am getting down to finally write this review. Lucy the "welcome smiling lady" , I call her that as she is the first face you see when you get to the hotel, said its about time. She is second after Yusuf the driver that picks you from Ukunda airstrip. These people make your stay amazing- Huda the finance person. Bar attendants Hassan, Musyoka, Ali...are simply welcoming and amicable. People make a place to be what it is to be. The entertainment team- Remmi, Eric...ladies am sorry i forget the names but they all make the nights amazing at the Porini Amphi-theater with their arts. The Kole Kole swimming pool is a buzz with activities and one can never be bored. The Bars are amazing with piped music and ever flowing drinks as the all inclusive package keeps them coming. The pools at Kole Kole, Maridadi and Baobab are clean and well kept . The beaches are clean and white. Lastly the food all round the clock is amazing in all three hotels, love the Maridadi Restaurant for no reason :). So many choices to chose from and the themes are great. You have a coast night, a seafood night, african...all amazing. There are also activities for children. Was lastly there in May and headed back in December 2019
Great R&R stay
I enjoyed my stay but the food could use some improvement. The Pizza saved me. Kolekole staff were great and the pool choices were awesome Afternoon tea was good enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again.
Great All Inclusive Resort on Indian Ocean
Although there were some minor challenges in making the reservation in that you cannot pay online or over the phone with a credit card, the beach resort itself was excellent with friendly staff and great service.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Baobab Resort. From the very first email contact back in January in regards to what room type would be best for us until our check-out on the 9th of October. We felt well taken care of. The Deluxe room was very nice. Our room steward Bonface excellent. Food was good, but not outstanding. Good selection of fresh fruits and salads, very tasty Indian or Suhaheli cousine. The fish was a bit on the dry side. Great omelettes in the morning. The monkeys were a lot of fun to watch. Almost like a mini safari every day. We would definitely come back,
The place was great, we got to the hotel around midday and it took around half an hour before we could go to our room as they needed to setup a baby cot, the waiting was made bearable by being allowed to wait at the bar and get a drink and snack (all in the package). The rooms was spacious and was really clean, comfortable mattress and modern amenities. Although the room was quite far from the pool we enjoyed the most (at Kole Kole). To note, the pool by Maridadi is a quiet area so if you want to read a book and have quiet time this would be ideal. Not sure if there was WiFi or what the TV offered, that's how I know I enjoyed my time there. And the wide variety of food and different menus each day is a big bonus. I strongly recommend this establishment.
