Great place to be
The place is great and not too far from Nairobi. The facilities are great. Restaurant and staff are awesome. They could do better with a pastry chef. The preparation for deserts was not top class. The internet in the rooms did not work as well it worked in the reception area. The Killi view rooms could give a better view of the mountain if the huge trees were not there. One has to walk all the way to the fence to get any view. The hotel seems to be planting more trees which will block the entire view in a few years.
Beautiful place with animals so close
My husband and I visited in September and had a lovely stay. The staff are friendly and happy to make your holiday special. It was fantastic seeing so many animals so close- baboons, monkeys, elephants, zebra, gazelle, hippos. The food was delicious and there was always a great variety. The room was perfectly clean and it was so amazing being able to see the animals right from our porch.
Thanks for your hospitality
The staff are friendly with big smile Christine keep it up for good sarvice, receptionist thanks for good welcome to all the staff thanks for your hospitality.Ol tukai is a place to be shukran team 👊
Friendly service with a human face!!. A peaceful place to spend some quiet time. All staff members you meet great you with a smile. You trully feel at home.We visited as a family and had interconnecting rooms which worked for us and the children. Animals are close by and can clearly be seen from the hotel compound just across the fence, especially Elephants and Zebras. We took close by game drives in which we were able to see Lions, Cheetah, Hippos, Wildbeasts, Giraffes, more elephants, Warthog and Ostrich. The Lodge is one place I would visit again and reccomend to guest visiting Amboseli!
Spectacular wildlife; OK stay....
Ol Tukai enjoys a strong reputation as a premium hotel in one of Kenya's two premium National Parks, Amboseli. The road into the park is quite rough; advise to drive slowly. The hotel is well placed right within a swampy part of the national park which means that it is very attractive to wildlife during the dry season when I visited. The reception was slightly chaotic, though admittedly there were a large number of guests coming in at the same time, the effects of which had a detrimental impact on my stay, particularly the manner in which the overflow was managed. The food and service are alright; the hotel and its facilities are dated. Might try them again at a later day to ensure I didn't catch them at a bad time.
