The Twin Lotus resort has beautiful grounds and rooms, and the overall experience is very enjoyable, however there are a few small points that we felt could be improved for the ultimate luxury feel. Firstly, and most importantly, the towels provided were quite threadbare and grayish, and often had weird red stains on them. Secondly, breakfast could use an upgrade as it is pretty average. That being said, we loved the room, the pools and the staff- all in all would recommend staying here :)
Excellent Resort - great choice for couples
We were 2 couples and had asked for adjacent rooms. We were delighted to have been allocated adjoining bungalows with a small shared pool! Outstanding! The accommodation is first class, beautifully designed and very nicely appointed. Large rooms, each with a day bed and outdoor area, along with a roomy well appointed bathroom/wardrobe area. The large main pool is delightful, beautifully situated against the beach with an infinity edge, the better to take memorable photos of the sunset. The restaurant is large, comfortable and well designed, with a sunken reading area and library in the middle - nice touch - and the bar at one end. Daily happy hour cocktails are a highlight! We couldn't fault the breakfasts - always outstanding, with an extensive choice. However, the evening menu is rather limited - the only reason I have not allocated 5 stars to the resort in this review. The kitchen is clearly very skilled, and it would not take very much to improve the menu, which would simply take the restaurant to another level. The staff in all departments are smiling, helpful and solicitous. Just right - thank you. Finally, the gym is a great facility on site - do please continue to keep it well maintained. A thoroughly excellent 4 night stay - we will certainly come again. Thank you.
This was my first time visiting Koh Lanta and stayed for two nights before moving to Koh Phi Phi. Overall the hotel was brilliant. The air con in the room I was initially in wasn't working, after they came to try and fix it, they said it would take quite a long time so upgraded me to a beach villa which was great! While you are in Koh Lanta you must hire a scooter for a day, you can sort this out at reception - it's so cheap and a great way to see the whole island. Staff lovely, pools great, right on the beach which seemed very private. The only reason I am giving it 4 rather than 5 is because the location of it is a little out the way. However if you are quite happy to be in remote location this place is perfect and super relaxing! Would stay again.
A classic resort with fantastic breakfast and nice staff. great rooms and comfy beds, 3 different pools and nice area, its located a bit away from the main road so if you don't like quiet areas this Is not for you, its an adult only, no kids, a nice stretch of beach just next to the place but not many food options, there is however a super nice restaurant just outside the resort called Maladees, go there if you can.
Peaceful and beautiful adults only resort
This is a very beautiful place, and very peaceful as we came during the low season. Not so many restaurants open at night close to the hotel, only «Country restaurant» (fantastic thai food at low price, and friendly staff!) at this time of year(which closes at 20 pm) and eventually the great «Maladeen», which gave us a fabolous dinner on our last night. But the hotel in itself; great and luxurious bungalows, nice and quiet pool area. Food in the restaurant; not so great, in fact the only bad meal we’ve had in Thailand. And expensive. Breakfast was good, lots to choose between. Very friendly and helpful staff.
