We had a lovely seven days here as B&b . Lovely rooms nice side view off the sea, and next door hotel pool. Breakfast was grate lost to choice. Didn’t eat here apart from breakfast. Staff make you feel welcome. Not our first time to Cyprus or paphos but it was our first time staying this end off the island, we are normally in paralimni area, and later in the year. We were here for my birthday and the hotel put balloons on our door with a note wishing Me happy birthday. Plus a bowl off fruit and a bottle off the hotels wine . We enjoyed our stay and if we were to stay in paphos again we would stay here.
Sparkling clean hotel
Sparkling clean hotel on the seafront in Paphos. On arrival we were met by a receptionist who hailed from Lithuania and she set the scene immediately, friendly and ultra helpful as were the whole hotel team. Our room was luxurious, we had paid extra for a Superior room and it was worth it. We even had our own restaurant for breakfast and I would imagine this would be a real bonus when the hotel is full. Maybe a bit further out from Paphos harbour than we would have liked, but the 40 minute walk back made you feel virtuous after eating a large fish meze!
Home from home
From the moment we got off our transfer coach nothing was to much trouble, with staff always giving a warm welcome. Our upgraded room was conveniently located very close to the lift which accessed our breakfast restaurant as well as the indoor pool. After the second morning staff kept us a table at the front making it easier for me collecting 2 of everything. The mobility scooter was brought to the main entrance whenever we asked for it, put away after and recharged for our next trip out. The food was amazing with so many choices and so beautifully presented.
Booked a weeks stay with Jet 2 as a package, it was a weeks R & R away from the cold damp English weather. Although this is a hotel review, let me say that I canot fasult Jet2, we have had a couple of breaks with them and they have been first class. The aircraft leave on time, the transfers are efficient, the staff, and there always seem plenty, are helpful and professional. Right the hotel, we have stayed in Paphos before so knew where abouts we were going to be based. The hotel is superb, 5 star standard, the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had booked B & b, and boy that breakfast, two different restaurants, both with outside eating, you will never never be able to try all of the choices, including champers if you want it. Again plenty of staff, everywhere exceptionally clean. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but on the last night I sought out a manger and complimented him on his hotel. This is an adult hotel, Yes, there were old people there (we were two of them) But we use the hotel as a base and get out and about, bus services are excellent, and its a 20 minute stroll either by the sea or road to get to Paphos harbour. There is a sister hotel next door which has just been totally refurbished, if you have a young family give that one a visit So, lastly well done Athena Royal Beach, we will stay again
Yet Another Visit
This is the second visit by our group of 14 friends to this hotel for a holiday. Over the last eight years we have stayed at all of the Constantinou Brothers hotels in Paphos. My preference being for the Athena Royal. Although one of the smaller hotels the welcome we received on checking in was very warm making our group feel very much at home. We are staying on a half board basis and we really appreciate the extensive breakfast and dinner buffets. The food selection is excellent and the food is tasty, with a different daily theme. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and we particularly enjoy having a sea view room, making the little extra cost well worth it. Thanks again to the hotel management for another very happy holiday.
