If I could give Kevin and his amazing team 10 stars - trust me I would! I’ve been lucky enough to stay at some of the most amazing hotels on the planet and I’ve never been as compelled as I am now to write such a stellar review for a hotel. This has been the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! So to start with what everyone reads TA reviews for! Food - if you’re coming here on all inclusive you will be extremely well fed and watered! The food has been amazing at every meal, plenty of variety, extremely well cooked and presented and impeccable service. I’d like to especially mention Derah, Andre, Nicole, Rachel, Cameron, Tramaine and Mia from the team who gave us a very warm welcome and made sure every meal was the best. We ate at Bartley’s one night which was nice for a pan Asian menu and at The Cove a couple of nights which has the most stunning views from its cliff top perch. Great dining experiences at all venues including great lunchtime flatbreads at Carolyn’s on the beach - I seriously couldn’t fault any meal I had and there was also great choice of food and drink for my 10yr old son too. I was really surprised at the quality of alcoholic beverages too - huge cocktail menus using brands other venues would charge for as premium spirits but were all included. I didn’t think I’d be enjoying negronis all inclusive! Rooms - we stayed in The Cove suites and our room was extremely clean and comfortable and our wonderful hosts Toriefa and Kelisha did an amazing job of looking after our every need. They were always there for everything especially making sure we had plenty of provisions in the room and dinner venues booked every night - literally didn’t have to think of a single thing all 10 days! Our housekeeper Rachel did an amazing job too as did Angela, Tarik, Mitch and Tramaine in manning the Cove bar! Staying in the Cove you have poolside drinks service to your villa pool which is a great touch! Everything is spotlessly clean - the staff work non-stop to keep the beautiful gardens manicured and every area clean. Alrick works so hard every morning keeping his pool areas spotless and always welcoming to his guests. There is a small gift shop on site selling essentials and gifts and run by the lovely Wendy who brightened up my mornings chatting to my son who was determined to sell her out of candy bars! Every guest is given their own water bottle to keep and there is plenty of fresh chilled drinking water available all over the site - so pleased with this as you need to drink loads in this heat and I dread to think how many single use bottles I would’ve got through! I think the thing that stands out for me the most is the fact that I can name so many of Kevin’s staff! This to me shows great leadership as he has a team dedicated to giving their guests a truly 5 star experience and beyond - everyone takes great pride in their jobs and this makes the customer experience magical. We are definitely coming back and thank you so much to all the team at Blue Waters for an unforgettable holiday!
Mr and Mrs Bird
We had our wedding here all organised at very short notice, Mandie was amazing and made our special day everything that we could wish for and more. She paid extra attention to the smaller details making sure everyone in our party was happy and looked after. She even delivered milkshakes and an alternative flavour wedding cake to our children just to ensure smiles on their faces during the ceremony. The resort was beautiful with great beaches and pools and the food was excellent catering for everyone really well including children. The staff were fantastic and Derah and Pearl in the palm restaurant and Pearl in the Pelican bar amongst others made us feel especially welcome, always delivered excellent service and we were sad to say goodbye to them at the end of our holiday. The only slight criticism we would have is that the WiFi signal was very poor in our beachfront rooms and it would have been useful if it worked better just to give the children some down time and the patio doors in the rooms needed something on them for safety reasons to make it obvious when they weren’t open. My son ran straight into them thinking they were open and really hurt himself. They did have some stickers on them but they were very discreet- perhaps something removable could be used when young children were staying? Overall we couldn’t recommend it enough and will definitely go back
Completely magical hotel
I cannot fault my stay at Blue Waters Hotel. I had such a fantastic holiday with my parents who equally, could not believe the luxury we were staying in. The vegetation makes the property feel like paradise on earth, as do the beautifully kept beaches and pool areas. The staff are overwhelmingly friendly and amazingly attentive from start to finish - nothing is too much to ask. The food was exquisite - the meat was of a particularly high standard - and the menu variety was astonishing. We also loved the wide range of watersports activities on offer and especially enjoyed seeing the Pelicans coming in to fish in the early morning. The spa was the epitome of tranquil... Equally, having received our own custom water bottles on arrival, and with the multiple water stations dotted around the hotel, we were never in need of hydration! All in all, we could not have had a more wonderful or relaxing experience at Blue Waters - I never wanted to leave! I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone and will most certainly be back.
This Hotel Is NOT 4 Star!!!
I decided to come to this hotel with my friend after consulting with my travel agent. I am a hotel critic and i have written articles on many hotels i visit. Upon arriving after a 15 - 20 mins drive from the airport, I noticed that the vegetation on the property is exquisitely beautiful. However, here are a few issues i had during my stay. The products being used are NOT 4 star standard. I researched the "Pinehill" brand and discovered it is made from a concentrate. "Mr. Boston" brand is NOT up to standard, the bartender at Pelican Bar had to keep adding it to the drink before my drink was how its supposed to be. The food was ok at dinner in terms of taste, but there were too many times the kitchen was out of something that is on the menu. If you do not have it, then take it off the menu. The employees do not look happy and their uniforms are not attractive. I saw several employees doing so many different things. They looked tired and overworked and was perspiring heavily. I felt sorry for them. At a four star hotel the employees should be working comfortably and happy to be at work. I see there is a lot of work to be done to this hotel to get it to a real 4 star experience. I will visit again to see if there are any improvements to these concerns.......it is simply not there yet!!!
Family visit to Blue Waters
We were a group of 15 visiting in July, we had a really wonderful week staying in the Pelican Villa. Very few negatives apart from the odd rain shower due to the time of year (we actually appreciated the cooling off). The Villa was superb, as were the very friendly and helpful staff. Four restaurants to choose from where the food ranged from good to excellent. The children loved the place, Sting Ray City nearby was great fun as well. A really nice uncommercial feel here and well worth a visit.
