This place is truly a gem! Beautiful clean rooms, outstanding variety of food, and a very relaxing vibe! Fantastic staff with Leo took amazing care of our every need! Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience!
Fantastic staff, great hotel.
All members of staff made us feel welcome. We have travelled quite extensively and found every aspect of service at Domes Zeen to be second to none. Great rooms, comfortable and stylish. Dining enjoyable and a good selection of main dishes. First time in Crete for us, great atmosphere in Chania with a wide selection of amenities. Flight times from Northern UK a little problematic, would definitely return but probably book direct through Marriot Bonvoy and source alternative flights. A great trip, thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
We were due to spend 14 nights at this property. We were so disappointed with it, that we checked out after one night. In 40 years of travel we have never being so let down. The property is very hilly, it is a major uphill trek to get from the restaurant to reception. The views were dismal.
Heaven on Earth
I’m from Dubai, where the standard of hospitality is phenomenal and I must say this hotel beats most of what I’ve experienced at other 5 and 7 star hotels. Domes is great for many reasons from the staff, the architecture, food, quality of service to the ambience. Unfortunately I had dealt with a personal problem which Sophia and Cristina made sure that I was taken care off. They are the best. I would come here over and over again for the exceptional experience. A great place for a couple or family and worth every penny.
We can’t wait to come back!
Before travelling to Greece, we didn’t have a destination in mind, but just wanted to go somewhere warm with the possibility of having our own pool in connection to our room since we were travelling with a one-year-old, who still naps two times a day. We stumbled upon this hotel through our travel agency and based on the pictures and reviews, it didn’t take us long to decide that Chania would be our destination for the summer. If you - like us - prefer a kid friendly hotel, but aren’t too fond of loud music around the pool area and food from a buffet three times a day, this is the perfect fit. The style of the hotel and the room interior is very modern and cozy. The housekeepers were wonderful and very thorough, and we were very pleased to discover that the hotel provides a turndown service every evening. The breakfast buffet offers a huge variety of different food options, and we had a lovely full-course dinner each night. The kids' menu also offers a big variety of meals, and we could easily find something suitable for our one-year-old. People from the management were present most of the day, being helpful and actively involved with guests. We experienced a few minor inconveniences, but everything was handled quickly and with utmost professionalism and respect. Before leaving, I treated myself to a facial at the Soma Spa by therapist Marina, and she was absolutely lovely and provided a perfect ending to a perfect holiday. While the hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere very luxurious and the food incredible, what truly made this the best place we’ve ever stayed was the people working there. They are remarkable! We witnessed another guest complain about getting the sun in her eyes while having dinner. The sun was setting, being low in the sky, there really wasn’t anything to do. We shared a look thinking to ourselves, “ma’am, they simply can’t move the sun”, but lo and behold one of the waiters took it upon himself to drag one of the big, heavy parasols all the way from the dining area to the other end of the pool to block the sun from her view. Of course due to the sun moving, it didn’t last long, but luckily she decided to move her chair and go sit on the other side of the table instead. Thank God! If she hadn’t, I’m sure the waiter would have dedicated his entire evening to walk around with the parasol, blocking the sun, just to keep that one guest happy. That scenario really sums up the work ethic of everyone working at the hotel. They will go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and happy, always having a smile on their face, taking the time to chat. I truly hope these people are highly valued and well taken care of. What ever they are paid, it’s simply not enough! Thank you for having us. We can’t wait to come back!
