Days 1 to 3

Florence

Begin your self-drive holiday in the city of Florence where you’ll stay three nights at Hotel Brunelleschi. Your time here can be spent admiring Renaissance masterpieces in the Uffizi Gallery, wandering through narrow streets or strolling through the elegant 16th-Century Boboli Gardens.

Wines & Windows of Florence
Florence

Discover a hidden side of Florence on an evening walking tour as you stroll through the charming streets of the city centre and away from the tourist crowds. At the Loggia del Porcellino, rub the nose of the famous bronze boar for good luck before discovering the curious legend behind it. Continue through Via delle Terme and Piazza del Limbo, one of the oldest squares in Florence. Follow the path of the Vasari Corridor where your guide will reveal tales of Medici power.

Cross the elegant Ponte Vecchio, once home to butchers, now a world of goldsmiths. Step into the Oltrarno district, where local life still thrives among artisan workshops and traditional eateries. Along the way, discover Florence’s unique Buchette del Vino, the historic wine windows once used to serve wine directly to passersby. At two of these beautifully restored locations, you can sip Tuscan wine in the same way Florentines did hundreds of years ago.

Siena

Drive south through the Tuscan countryside to Siena, a glorious city that’s home to an impressive medieval square, the Campo. Dip into galleries to gaze at hundreds-of-years old art works and walk in the shadow of the city’s honey-coloured buildings.

Tuscan Truffle Experience
Rural Tuscany

Discover one of Tuscany’s most treasured gastronomic traditions with a guided truffle hunt in the woods surrounding Castel Monastero. Accompanied by an expert tartufaio and specially trained dogs, you’ll learn to recognise the signs of this rare delicacy while enjoying the peaceful beauty of the Chianti countryside. The experience concludes with a tasting or lunch inspired by freshly unearthed truffles, celebrating authentic flavours and local savoir‑faire.
