Day 1

Dubrovnik

Depart the UK on your flight to Croatia and on arrival, board MS Splendid for a seven-night journey along the idyllic South Dalmatian Coast. You can embark at any time of the day with cabins ready from 1pm. Tonight there will be a welcome meeting before dinner is served on board. D.

Day 2

Dubrovnik

Your first full day will begin with an exploration of Dubrovnik. Head up into the hills above the city for incredible views of the rooftops and rugged coastline. Join a guide on a walking tour of Dubrovnik’s historic centre and have some free time to explore before re-boarding. Enjoy lunch as you sail towards the town of Slano, a pretty spot on the Dubrovnik Riviera. There will be a swim stop as you make your way along the coast. B, L.

Day 3

Mljet National Park

This morning you will sail towards Mljet National Park where you'll have some free time to explore. Walk around the Great and Small Lakes, you can even swim in the lakes so make sure you take a towel with you. Or visit the peaceful Islet of St Mary. Cruise on to Korčula, the birthplace of famed explorer Marco Polo. On arrival, a guided tour will give you a remarkable insight into the history of this pretty town. The rest of the day is free to wander around and find a local restaurant to have dinner. B, L.

Day 4

Vis

A different day, a different island. Today you will cruise onwards to Vis, stopping for a swim on the way. You should arrive on the island in the late afternoon, and you will have time to explore this lesser-visited destination. See the unique architecture or visit one of the unspoilt beaches before finding a charming family-run restaurant for your evening meal. B, L.

Day 5

Hvar

Cruise to Hvar, with a stop at the island of Biševo’s Blue Cave on the way (cave visit will be dependent on the tides). Relax on deck as you sail into Hvar’s harbour. Known as the Monte Carlo of Croatia, it’s a glittering hub of exclusive clubs and superb restaurants. A local English-speaking guide will give you a tour of the town, learn about the history, culture and fascinating lavender-growing tradition of the surrounding area. Later, enjoy a free evening and try out one of the many family-owned restaurants. B, L.

Day 6

Bol & Pučišća (Brač Island)

This morning, you’ll have some time to enjoy one of the best swimming beaches in Croatia, Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). In Bol, wander the winding streets lined by small stone houses. After lunch, sail to the village of Pučišća. Set on a steep-sided natural harbour, this village is unlike anywhere else on the Dalmatian Coast with its unique stonemasonry school. Stone from the local quarry was used to build the columns of the White House and the Vienna parliament buildings. Enjoy the rustic ambience and Mediterranean architecture as you explore. B, L.

Day 7

Omiš & Split

You’ll then cruise across the Brač Channel to Omiš, a town on the delta of the Cetina River. Enjoy a stroll around this former pirate stronghold before re-boarding MS Splendid for the final leg of your journey. Sail towards the beautiful sun-kissed ancient city of Split, where you can discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed remains of Roman Emperor Diocletian’s home on a guided walking tour of the city.
