A once-in-a-lifetime wilderness experience awaits at this conservation retreat nestled beneath dramatic escarpments.

Occupying just one per cent of a 7000-acre wildlife conservancy in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the secluded Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia and combines absolute luxury with a quintessentially Australian bush experience. Two on-site nature-based activities are included daily; discover this beautiful region with mountain biking, guided nature walks by day, and remote stargazing by night. You’ll need to stay two nights at the very least to begin to discover what Wolgan Valley has to offer.

There’s fantastic dining at the Main Homestead, with a focus on premium, seasonal and, where possible, organic produce sourced from within a 100-mile radius. Enjoy a six-course evening menu at the elegant Wolgan Dining Room – by the fire in winter or outdoors on the terrace taking in the glorious valley views in summer – and a selection of light meals and snacks at the more informal restaurant, the Country Kitchen.

All the rooms here are individual villas with their own private pool, constructed from wood and stone with warm earthy tones, a double-sided fireplace, spacious living area and large terrace. Modern luxuries include Wi-Fi and an iPod dock, and the plunge pools (indoor, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sliding door) are temperature-controlled, making a dip enjoyable year-round.
