Authentic charm, century-old dwellings and Sharah Mountain views, all just 15 minutes' drive to Petra’s ancient sights.

Carved out of a 19th century Ottoman village, everything here is splendidly ancient. The hammam and seasonal pool are delightful additions but it’s the winding alleyways, original water well and call to prayer melodies that transport you to the magic of yesteryear. Bedouin-style rooms retain their rough-hewn stone walls and Sahtain restaurant stays true to local influences with incense, flute players and clay-oven taboon.

Sahtain Restaurant
As evening approaches it’s the candlelight, incense smoke and local musicians that bring an Arabian atmosphere to Sahtain. You can dine inside under stone arches or choose a table outside table with views over the mountains. The restaurant hosts regular themed evenings including a traditional ‘Jordan Bedouin Night’ and an international ‘Around the World Night.’
