Ajman & Maldives

The Maldives is officially the best beach escape on the planet – it’s just won the title of the ‘World’s Leading Destination’ at the World Travel Awards for the third year in a row. But twinning this tropical paradise with a few nights among the souks and spices of the Middle East adds a magic ingredient that all the best holidays have: contrast.

Thanks to a good choice of flight connections, the Middle East and the Maldives work marvellously together. Not only is a stopover a great way to break up the journey, but it gives you a chance to enjoy a taste of Arabian glamour en route to our favourite islands . More authentic than the buzzing hub of Dubai, Ajman packs a punch with old-world charm, luxury hotels and some of the best beaches in the UAE.

Ajman

Stay in a really lovely place in Ajman. It's really close to Dubai but it bit more off the beaten track. A little bit cheaper so your money goes a little bit further but you can still get a taxi into Dubai if you want to see the sights including the Burj Kahlifa

Maldives

What can we say that we haven't already said about the Maldives? it's just amazing - and look we have swimming pools that are so close to the sea that they may as well not even have bothered even if it does look pretty. And where should you stay, well, Kuramathi of course!
