Added bonus of free golf was excellent and would certainly draw us back to turtle beach The sun beds were fab as were the water sports and beach staff(very attentive) Food was good but the bar staff could have been more attentive Coffee shop and ice cream bar staff very friendly and attentive Entertainment mixed but 4 member band Virgo very good Overall a good week with great golf would visit again
8 years of vacations at Turtle beach
It was good to see the improvements that have taken place. New mattresses on the poolside loungers and beach drinks service and general tidy up. The staff are really helpful and are a big plus for this resort.
Fab hotel & beautiful location
My husband & I have just returned from a weeks stay at Turtle Beach Hotel. We were attending my best friend’s wedding along with 3 other couples, a 12 & a 9 year old. The hotel was spotless, lovely big rooms, gorgeous beach within a few steps & multiple pools with plenty of sun beds. The food was also excellent, which was a very pleasant surprise as normally after a few days at an all inc we make a break for the outside world but no need to here. The hotel also made my friend’s wedding a lovely special day for her & her husband & the fabulous weather had a big part to play too! Our first trip to Barbados but certainly not our last & we would happily stay at Turtle Beach again
The Perfect Trip!
We had a lovely stay at Turtle Beach Hotel, Barbados. It exceeded our expectations! The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very clean. We had booked a “pool/garden view” but in fact ended up with a sea view too, which was perfect! The staff were all lovely and consistently accommodating and the entertainment every night was exceptional. The activities on offer with the hotel and the Virgin team were great. We loved the wide variety of choice and help/info we received from the staff. There was a variety of good food available in the three restaurants, with different themed menus each night. Be sure to book in time if you don’t want to eat at Chalonia and don’t leave unattended food on the tables or the birds will have a feast! Captain Sam’s team was very welcoming and always there to help you set up on the beach - nothing was ever too much trouble! We would like to give a special ‘thank you’ to Jared, the beach chaperone who made our stay even more special with his kindness and positivity every day, for how accommodating he was to us and for the lengths he went to to make our stay so special. He is an asset to the team and a great ambassador for the hotel. So many amazing memories made and one day we will return as we couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay than here. Many thanks.
Stayed here end of October 2019 having booked via BA. Although hotel generally nice I feel it was over rated. As stated in other reviews parts of hotel could do with a little TLC.I have stayed in other hotels, paying alot less and had just the same type of holiday. Food was good and varied but at times, breakfast and evening, queues were had whilst waiting to be directed to your table. More staff are definitely needed as staff present were rushed between clearing tables relaying and serving customers. Two other restaurants as well......sandtrap by pool/beach,you could also have breakfast her as well as lunch and Asiagos the Italien restaurant which needs to be booked in advance,a nice dining experience. There is a coffee shop and ice cream parlour which is a nice touch. Entertainment was nightly but started at 8pm finishing at 10pm. While we were here no one got up to dance, despite some good singers/groups,I think entertainment started too early as many guests were still dining.Rooms kept lovely and clean, staff mixed...some lovely namely Joyce in Sandtrap,Shaunie in Chelonia restaurant and a lovely boy serving drinks on beach Jarrod, lovely, polite and extremely helpful. Despite a lovely week I felt something was lacking and to be honest I expected a bit more from an Elegance hotel,we were told this hotel is being taken over by Marriot.Would not pay the price we paid again.
