The Club Barbados Resort & Spa

A blissful beach retreat on Barbados’ west coast

This adults-only all-inclusive puts relaxation at the heart, with three pools, a serene spa and activities for those who want them

Perfect for sun-drenched relaxation on the island’s ‘Gold Coast’, this resort has a peaceful vibe and is within easy reach of lively Holetown. The friendly staff are part of the charm, and repeat guests are greeted like old friends. Relax on the sandy terrace set in an elevated position above the sea and walk down a few stone steps to the narrow strip of low-tide beach framed by rocks studding the shore. A short stroll takes you to one of the beautiful larger beaches on either side of the resort, or you can follow walkways through the pristine gardens to three pretty pools divided by a whirlpool waterfall.

Why we love The Club Barbados Resort & Spa

  • The resort is steps from the shore, and guests get selected motorised and non-motorised watersports included – from kayaking and hobie cat sailing to stand-up paddleboarding.

  • It’s great for couples and there’s plenty to do, from Caribbean dance classes to cooking demos, tennis to rum tasting.

  • There’s a great choice of bars and restaurants, plus regular entertainment, a Saturday Caribbean barbecue and a weekly manager’s cocktail party.

The Club is home to two restaurants and three bars; indulge in local Caribbean fare at Enid’s, request your favourite classics at The Piano Bar or sip a cocktail as the sun sets on the beach. There’s also a weekly manager’s cocktail party with drinks, canapes and live entertainment, while Saturday nights bring a lively barbecue with sizzling seafood, steak and chicken.

Sunset Restaurant The resort’s main restaurant, this serves an expansive buffet breakfast including made-to-order omelettes, as well as Caribbean-inspired lunches and dinners and a daily afternoon tea. Sip a cocktail as the waves bathe the shore, and enjoy live music in the evenings.

Enid's Restaurant Tuck into local dishes such as Bajan-fried chicken with spicy honey mustard sauce at this vibrant, colourfully Caribbean spot, open for dinner on certain nights throughout the week (booking required).

Rum Shop Bar Head upstairs from Enid’s and you’ll find this colourful Bajan bar, offering rum concoctions and local beers with a warm, friendly welcome.

Beach Bar Swig a Pina Colada as you gaze over the sea at this laid-back bar, and come at sunset for mesmerising views.

Piano Bar Request your favourite songs and a live pianist will play them back at this lively, late-night bar.

We love Enid’s Restaurant for its authentic local dishes and bright, colourful décor that doesn’t let you forget where you are.
