An escape from the world
The young staff ensure you have a wonderful time. Delightful interested knowledgeable the staff cater to your every need. This isolated resort nestled in the sand hills has all the comforts. Great beds in the clamping tents. The housekeeping is first class. Extremely thorough. Fabulous activities. 2 a day are offered. Loved the walks and the snorkeling and turtle excursion. Ellie and Dale manage a great luxury resort. Our only suggestions would be to change the coffee machine. It’s rather temperamental. But more importantly for us is the wine selection. They showcase WA wines only but perhaps they could include some australian icons. A Barossa Shiraz a Tasmanian. Pinot and an Adelaide hills Sauvignon Blanc would improve the average wine selection. and of course a French champagne. As some of the guests were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries a champagne seemed appropriate. And I enjoy drinking it!! A WA sparkling just didn’t cut it. We enjoyed our stay. The food very good the open bar well stocked with spirits and Noah juices but it is the staff that give it the edge. Oh and the lovely guests we met at the communal dining.
An absolute must. The staff make this place extra special. The food is incredible thanks to Chet the fabulous chef. The tents are rustic and fabulous. The snorkeling activities and all of the activities are amazing. You can see so much ocean life right out the front of the resort. Don’t hesitate, just go!
Paradise in a tent! Who knew!
We had originally booked 3 nights at Sal Salis, but after chatting to some people on our Live nIngaloo cruise who were staying there, we extended to 5 before we had even gotten there! 5 nights was perfect, I think 6 would have been spot on. We loved it there. It was hard getting used to being disconnected, and to be honest, for the money, I think they coudl provide intenet in the common area, Even if it's just one hour a day. Most people that are staying here need to be in touch with their jobs. I understand it's nice to disconnect, and it was, but it's not alway practical. However, that is the only negative we have. In every other way it was perfect. The staff are what makes the expereince, that and the location. The staff were so lovely. You never felt like anything was too muich trouble, and you were never aware of what was happenig behind the scenes to make everything so perfect. It was amazing. I think we had 16 people one night, and to be honest I think 20 should be the maximum, but I understand they have recently expanded their capacity, but they don't have capacity (due to accommodation) to extend the number of staff, so if it was fully booked, i think it woudl detract from the amazingness. Would 100% do this again. Thanks guys for making our time so special, and sorry you have to restock the bar after Richard!
The most amazing place you'll ever stay
Would not be an exaggeration to say that Sal Salis offered to be service that we've come across in all our travels. The food and drinks were amazing and world class. The wines were expertly matched with dinner each night. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and took us to the best snorkel spots on the Ningaloo Reef. The location is amazing. Metres from your tent and your on the beach and swimming in the reef. Humpback whales passing by on the horizon every morning and evening was a joy to watch. They went above and beyond in making our stay enjoyable and our engagement a really special occasion!
