Lovely staff and good value for money
Really friendly staff, nice food and good location. Good to have trees on the beach that provide some extra shade. Special mention to Fon, Oh - Ho and Kowitt, always friendly and were lovely with my young daughter. We stayed in a sea view pool villa, stunning view and good size pool. Nice to have an outdoor shower. Could be improved by having a bath tub. The standard of the resort is fair in relation to price. There are some local restaurants that are a short walk away and both Chaweng and Boput can be reached quickly by taxi. Chaweng can be reached on foot in around 10-15 mins. The resort is well located if you want to be away from busy areas but still close enough to get to them relatively quickly
This hotel is without fault in every respect, from the moment we stepped out if our transfer taxi to the moment we departed for the airport. The staff were attentive without being interfering and the whole experience was beyond expectations.
Great property Pros : - plunge pool villas are spectacular although a little small - breakfast buffet spread is awesome - the pool and service by the pool is good - spa is well maintained - hotel staff is wonderful Cons : - beach is very small and just ok - in room dining menu is limited
The hotel was excellent, the deluxe rooms were amazing. It was situated in a good location, very nice beach and pool area. The staff were very friendly. Amazing cocktails! I would definitely stay here again. Sonya Z
How to eradicate the month of February in the UK
I have stayed at a number of the Anantara Hotels over the last two years, but this was my first visit to the Lawana. My intention was to stay for one week, but ended up staying for three, and was treated to a discounted upgrade and a free massage for my trouble. Be assured it was no trouble. I whole heartedly agree with all of the previous reviews. The hotel is far enough away from the airport and flight path that you do not hear any noise but the waves. A taxi ride to the town centre ( which is under the flightpath) is only 200 to 300 Baht and they expect and respect you to barter. There is a Tesco Lotus on the Ring Road to the right of Chewing Main Street, but don't produce your Club Card, that system does not exist here. Sorry no points today. Weird, but it is worth a visit just to see the difference between the UK Tesco and Thai. The same goes for Boots the chemist in the Mall situated just off the Main Chaweng High Street.
