Relaxation in Beautiful Rhodes!
Our room was superb! We booked the room with private pool and we got the corner room with a larger deck and an outstanding view of the coast! The breakfast options at the hotel was also great! Great selection and enough variety of food even for people with dietary restrictions. Overall, the resort had a nice ambiance and most of the staff were great and quite helpful.
Fantastic modern hotel with an amazing view
My partner and I just spent 3 nights here with a sea view room and sharing pool. The sharing pool was ideal for some privacy however the main pool was so beautiful with a view over the sea we found ourselves by this pool for the majority of the stay. The sunbeds were unreal!! Breakfast was good and the À la cart Restaurant was nice food for good value. Walking up to the chapel for sunset is a must!! Beautiful
Last vesper of October
We visited Esperos village in mid-October. The choice fell on this hotel because it is only for adults. We were not discouraged by the fact that the hotel is not on the coastline and does not have its own beach. The hotel itself is scattered on the mountain and consists of blocks 6 or 8 rooms. We booked a superior room with sea views and a shared pool. As it turned out, the choice was made correctly. We had a 511 room located on the second floor. The room itself is very decent, clean, with a good and fairly spacious bathroom. The room had a rather roomy fridge and a TV. The balcony was small but had a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms below us had a large balcony but because of the building in front of them, the sea view was limited. Unfortunately, our balcony didn’t have a canopy, so we couldn't enjoy the view during the rain, and apparently this also does not possible in the summer due to the sun. Cleaning was done every day, the only comment was that they didn't refill coffee in the bar, and I forgot to remind them about it and remembered only in the morning when I wanted to drink coffee before breakfast. The location of the hotel really liked in a quiet place among the fir trees. The air was very clean and walking down and up was a great pleasure. The absence of children and loud music us to relax. I really liked the hotel and I would give the highest possible rating but... I read before negative reviews about the food but didn’t imagine that they were really true. We had half board, but we changed dinner for lunch several times so I have a complete picture of food. Breakfast was pretty good and there were no complaints. The only thing I would recommend the tuna and smoked Salomon removed from dinner and add for breakfast. Lunch was quite varied, with emphasis on meat but everything was complete with no taste and without spices. The chicken was hard and without spices. The roast beef was also without spices. Once served BBQ lamb steaks poured with some kind of dark sauce also wasn't tasty. Friends, this is my advice the cook has to be urgently replaced. During the 7 days that we were there, have been once served the schnitzels which the cook successfully managed to burn it to darkness. For dinner, the emphasis was placed on fish products, several times there was a good swordfish and one time it was sushi evening with a verity of seafood. But the meat menu for dinner was very poor. Apparently, in order to fill in the meet gaps, sausages have been served, also there was always a pasta bolognese. The last dinner was especially remembered. The meat dishes menu was only the so-called kebab, hard and tasteless, and the chicken legs in the olive sauce were absolutely tasteless and hard. Of the seafood, there were squid rings that were not very successful, the sprat casserole was too salted and bitterness. My wife is a big fish lover couldn't eat it. The fried perch was overcooked and with a huge number of bones. As the main dish was served tuna roll and in our opinion, it's not particularly tasty. Vegetable casseroles and fresh vegetables were also present. In any case, I was surprised by pizza cooked right on the spot, the pizzas had different fillings from the thin dough. As a former pizza worker, I can say that pizza was perfect. Many thanks to the guy who made them since without them I would probably go half hungry. There were a lot of different cakes from the sweet but the creams were not tasty, apparently not on butter but vegetable fat and cream made from proteins. From fruits, there were pineapples, plum apples, bananas kiwi, which seems to be not bad. Friends, you are Mediterranean, you have a huge verity of spices in shops why you don’t use them? Of course, no one went hungry but in the hotel with 5 stars, eat up with pizza looks like unacceptable When you arrive at a hotel with 5 stars you expect, if not culinary abundance, but at least tasty food. I have a lot of experience visiting different 5-star hotels but haven’t seen such untasty food. Once again I want to emphasize that I don’t want to offend anyone with this review, the whole staff is very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed here. The only comment is to improve the menu and enlarge diversify of the meat dishes.Special thanks to the staff with greeting cake.
Is there anything you can not like?
I kept in mind this place last year. But as I was late for bookings then, I finally made a reservation for this year. This place is absolutely fabulous! The pools, the kitchen... so silent, so calming. SPA - perfect! Enjoying the SPA you can use separate heated pool. Saunas are brilliant! You just imagine smth you would like to do and they will arrange it! Best choice for couples ( no kids allowed)
Chilled, delightful holidays!
We stayed for 9 nights as a family of four with 2 teenage kids in August. The stay did not get off to a good start as we were given two rooms with zero view of the bay at first, which we found very odd considering we were staying for 9 nights. We had to therefore spend the first evening and morning complaining at reception and then were given two adjacent rooms higher up in the complex with a shared pool that we never used, but the interior was nicer and the view was perfect. It is a hilly resort and you have to be able to walk up and down about 100 steps to breakfast and dinner, unless the shuttle bus happens to pass, but the view makes the stay all the more special. At least you get a bit of exercise after laying on sunbeds all day long. The inifinity pool is a bit on the small size, but works. Service from bar staff could be more frequent and more attentive, but if you went to get them, it was fine. Overall service was very good, food was excellent in all restaurants and the staff were well trained. It is hard to find the perfect package and we were on balance very pleased with the level of service, food quality and luxury provided. Our only complaints would be that the bathroom didn't feel very luxurious and needs some renovating, the bed was hard and needs to be more luxurious for a 5 star resort and the Panorama restaurant is too catered for couples. We asked the GM for a table with a view as also wanted to be able to sit at the edge and see out to the bay at night - they did a great job and kept the table for us - it was a nice touch, but there should be more choice for families and not just be shoved to the back of the terrace and couples get the best view. The beach club was lively and rather loud and please note that if you consume lunch and drinks for about 40 euros, you get a cabana for free and we enjoyed some fun time at the sea, despite the constant noise. The hotel entertainment was quite shockingly bad, but we ventured out into Rhodes Town and Faliraki and once there was lovely music by the pool bar and we played cards most nights. It was our first time in an adults all hotel and we are converted - so peaceful and relaxing.
