Great Stay - highly recommend
Hotel on the edge of town, the town is small, one main high street, would probably take 30 minutes to walk the entire length, some very nice shops and also regular souvenir/gift type shops, couple of supermarkets and one very exclusive supermarket at the top of town very much like a ‘Whole Foods’. Huge Marina with lots of Superyachts. Mask wearing is mandatory outside and around the town, there is a small police presence in the evening, very friendly not intimidating at all. Eating and drinking in town is cheap compared to home, we ate at several restaurants, nice food, good service and really good value for money.
Joy – in between hotel and beach
Skopea Inn
Cesar Et Lounge
Nen Restaurant and Pool Bar
Blue Lounge
Breeze – not really recommend this one
30 minutes from Dalaman Airport. We paid £12.50 for a taxi (yellow cab).
There is a fleet of golf buggies to take guests to the private beach and restaurants although we tended to walk, the service is very efficient. Mask wearing is mandatory in the buggy, and in the hotel and the restaurants if you are walking around going to the loo etc. Your temperature is taken on entry and noted, this also applies to the beach and beach restaurant.
Nice beach, private but members of the public can pay for the day. Crystal clear water, drink and food service and WiFi, plus a nice ice cream parlour. Towels etc provided at the beach and pool, 2 per person, all wrapped, good quality towels. Sanitiser everywhere, nice clean beach toilets. Small pool but very clean and nice sun loungers, all sun loungers are sanitised every day on the beach and the pool.
Breakfast is a mix of table platter and buffet. Good service and good quality, there is an egg station and pancake station. The Breeze restaurant (Marina/Beach) is OK, very expensive compared to town, best bit about it is the view, personally thought the food was not great, but good service.
We booked a Superior room which was very nice, it was on the ground floor with access to a small terrace and garden close to the pool. Four Poster bed, tea/coffee making facilities – no milk, just go to the pool bar and they will give you fresh milk in a lidded container to keep in your fridge. Lots of wardrobe space, marble bathroom with robes/slippers/Molton Brown toiletries. I will just say though, the hotel takes dogs, the ‘block’ we were in was the one assigned for dogs. There was a lot yapping over 2 evenings – the owners went out and left the dogs until quite late, this was an issue and really annoying. However the hotel were amazing, the first night after an hour they came and took the dog to reception, they were very apologetic, the 2nd night I was a bit upset to be honest, we were on holiday in very trying times, we work hard and a yapping dog was the last straw. The hotel moved us to a Deluxe Room for the last few nights of our stay, shout out to Anij / Anil on reception (sorry not completely sure of the name) she was tremendous, her customer service is second to none. If you can afford it book a Deluxe Room, twice the size of a Superior room with huge balcony overlooking the sea, and private pool area.
Covid procedures excellent, hotel is spotless and well maintained, all staff very helpful.
We had a day out on a Gulet – excellent value VIRA - £15 each for the day including a superb lunch. See separate review.
Would definitely recommend, good value for money, hotel is a bit more expensive than the town for drinks and food, but overall much cheaper than home !
By the way - saw a review about Kids - no kids while we were there, only on the beach at the weekend and they were not staying at the hotel -.
