Excellent Resort for Families
From the ability to walk outside your room off the balcony and jump into the pool, to being able to walk across the lovely garden and into the Kid Zone Pool area is fantastic. Kidz Club is also a great addition to the resort where my kids spent hours and hours. With the water slides and lazy river, there is always something to do. The restaurant will deliver your order pool side, go to the Jellyfish bar and relax with some cocktails, or buckets (Best value going around). There really is limited need to leave the resort except to site see. There are also laundry facilities on site to wash and dry clothes yourself or have them done for you. The staff are lovely, there are a couple of staff where their English is a bit tough to understand but this is a small price to pay for such a wonderful experience. All staff were always caring and considerate. Definitely recommend.
Family luxurious resort you would not want to leave this place.
Best family resort went their in 2019 and love love it. Staff was fantastic and looked after our children. Very friendly and go out for their way for you. Will be going there again. Fantastic facilities. We will be surely going there again and rooms are clean and tidy and great for family of 4 in the family resort room with the swim up pool at the balcony.
Family friendly resort
We booked the pool access and the kids’ beds including bed cot were all ready when we checked in. The room was spacious and clean. We called to make up the room early and the staff came promptly. In room food service was fast too. For the swimming pools, there are 3 pools and one of them is for adults only. The water slides, water playground and lazy pool open at designated time. Generally the food was good including breakfast at the floating market. When we were there, breakfast was at floating market, lunch at manta ray and dinner at talay. Also, there was Japanese food stall outside melon minimart.
Brilliant family holiday!!!
My family and I spent 2 weeks at The Sands in April 2022, we also celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary while we were there. The staff decorated our room with flowers, delivered a cake and card, and just looked after us so well, it was a joy to be there and be so well looked after. The staff were overly amazing, Chita was so helpful and made sure all of our queries or questions were answered to ensure we had the best experience ever. The staff at the Floating Market work so hard, and the food was also amazing. My family and I loved it so much, we are hoping to return in April 2024! Location perfect, staff friendly and amazing, customer service second to none, thank you so much, we would highly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings!!
Brilliant family holiday - Easter & Songkran
There is much to say about The Sands at Khao Lak. I’d like to focus my praise on the fantastic care and support offered by the management and staff. We had three generations along for our holiday and the team at The Sands were exceptionally accommodating for the children as well as the more aged family member. The more aged family member had some mobility challenges, which the hotel easily accommodated with friendly and frequent buggy service around the property. Additionally, the Manager was incredibly helpful. He sat with us for some time to help us choose which excursions were best suited for our family and helped us organise a bespoke shopping tour of Phuket with our own van, driver and itinerary of shops, restaurant and sites. Amazing. Food great. Facilities nice. Family friendly. Fantastic. Visiting over the Thai New Year, or Songkran, was a special highlight. We were pleased to be among many local families who also chose the resort for their special holiday. There were special festivities on offer for the multi-day holiday, including a special buffet, local Thai acts and lots of festive atmosphere. The Sands made us feel warm and included. The Sands Khao Lak was a lovely resort that had a very nice mix of local, Eastern and Western tourists. The beach was never busy, we always found a lounger quickly and the kids water park was a highlight for our kids, 10 and 4. For those interested in fitness, the fitness center was never busy. It included bikes, elliptical machines, a few resistance machines, a Smith machine and a good rack of dumbbells. There is also an area with mats for stretching or callisthenics. The A/C was good. We’d recommend a ground floor room with swim access if you have younger kids like us. It is like having your own pool out your back door. It blew our kids’ minds. Highly recommended for a family holiday to Thailand.
