Stunning beachfront location and 5* service!
The beach was incredible - peaceful (separate quiet zone for those without children), sandy and with a call button under every umbrella. The staff were also so friendly and helpful, accommodating various requests. The bed was very comfortable and we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival which was a lovely surprise. 10/10 breakfast - so much variety and it was all fresh and delicious. The various restaurants (we tried all of them) were excellent. There were also complimentary Nespresso capsules in the room. Every day on turndown, they would provide us with water bottles and chocolates. Finally, the activity programme was put to good use and it provided us with exciting things to do for free. Stunning property and excellent service, would definitely recommend and go back!
A rare return visit to a resort
We don’t normally revisit anywhere but Eagles Palace is well worth the exception. We arrived into Thessaloniki Airport (2 hours late - thank you, Ryanair!), worried our transfer would have given up and left but there was George from the hotel with a big smile and a very welcome bottle of water and refreshing lemon wipes. We were transferred in a comfortable air conditioned minibus. Once we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly and welcoming staff with a welcome drink and platter of food in our lovely, spotless and comfortable room (because we had missed dinner). We were really impressed and happy (albeit exhausted!). I have to say that there was nothing we didn’t like. There are two restaurants in the hotel, we were half board and ate in the main restaurant mostly, food was plentiful, fabulous range of dishes and a lovely atmosphere. There is a pool bar and a further snack bar on the beach, although there is limited choice in these two places and they are slightly expensive. There is also a restaurant on the beach which is really lovely with a gorgeous view of the sea. There is a private beach which is beautiful, especially the quiet part which is where we went. The sun beds are free and there are plenty of beach towels. There are clean toilets along the beach and refreshment stations which were continuously replenished with cold fruit water and fresh fruit, very welcome on a hot day. Water sports centre at the end of the beach with various activities. We had a go at paddle boarding, which was fun. You can also go up from the hotel to the Eagles Villas (you can walk but they do transfer people up there in golf buggies) where there another restaurant and an amazing cabin bar, so peaceful with a fantastic view (and fabulous cocktails). Each day there are 4 transfers to nearby Ouranapolis, a little town with lovely bars and restaurants. We had lunch on the harbour which was delicious and great value for money. Overall the hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean, every member of staff was really friendly and helpful, from the managers to the cleaners, I felt that they were all really genuine and cared that we were happy with everything. The little touches like a little chocolates and fresh bottles of water in the room each day, really meant a lot. There were also free taster activities you could try, Pilates, jam making, paddle boarding etc, which is a brilliant idea. I think that is everything like I said, we rarely go back to a resort but we have booked again for June (apologies in advance to the hotel staff, we have booked the late Ryanair flight again!).
Our family of five people stayed in two bungalows several months ago and had a great experience, everyone in the staff is very friendly and polite, the food in the Melathron restaurant was delicious every day and the daily activities were something new to us but really fun to do. We played tennis in the early morning and learned a little more about making delightful cocktails! If you want to worry about nothing for a few days, this hotel is an excellent place to stay.
Our relaxed wedding ceremony
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and dinner at the garden and restaurant in September in 2019. It was a amazing experience that we will never forget! Our guests were only our close family from the UK and Japan and they all really enjoyed the ceremony and other activities at this hotel. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional to us all. The beach was perfect for wedding photos and so quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this place if you’re considering a relaxed wedding ceremony with some close family. We do love this resort and will definitely come back on our wedding anniversary!!
Outstanding family owned hotel
Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff and facilities. We stayed for 5 days in the early part of the season and everything was wonderful. The food & drink, our room, the beach & pool, the bar and the spa/gym. Would highly recommend to all.
