Discover Cuba’s most famous beach destination and a diver’s paradise on holidays to Varadero
A catamaran sails across Cuba’s turquoise blue northern shores, jungle hills in the distance and a 12-mile stretch of creamy white sands just moments away. Varadero holidays are all about Cuban cocktails, seafood grills, palm tree shaded pools inviting you for a dip and a spectacular beachfront lined with wind glade boards and kayaks.
Away from Cuba’s enigmatic cities which cater to culture vultures, holidays to Varadero are an unapologetic Caribbean escape for sun worshipping, shoulder dropping beach-goers where you can expect tai’ chi in the morning, spa therapists giving you baby soft skin before lunch, speed boat trips to virgin islands and moonlit dips from your luxury swim-up suite. If that’s all a little too relaxing there’s always the thrill of swimming amongst angelfish, blind shrimp and stalactites in the crystal clear waters of subterranean natural caves.
Deliciously warm, tranquil waters are the perfect little jewel for boat trips across to the family of cayes on the eastern tip of the peninsula and renowned scuba diving sites, but equally, the stunning bleached out beaches make it just as satisfying to sit back under a straw thatched parasol and enjoy blissful views with a good book and an Old Havana rum.
