Restaurants & bars
Depending on the seasonal schedule, all meals included as part of your all-inclusive package are served at Spices, Melia Zanzibar’s main buffet restaurant. The restaurant is inspired by a Stone Town spice market and features many local and international dishes. There are three open kitchens where you can watch chefs creating your meals and you can dine either in the air-conditioned restaurant or out on the open-air terrace. Just a short walk away is the fine dining venue, Aqua. It’s perched on close to the cliff edge and has wonderful views of the ocean. The cuisine here is inspired by rich Mediterranean flavours fused with African touches (dinner at Aqua is included for The Level guests).
For a more casual atmosphere, head over to Gabi Beach (10-15 minutes away on foot or a few minutes via shuttle). The kitchen is open from 12.30pm until 5pm so it’s a great spot for lunch or an afternoon snack. Back at the resort, there’s Jetty Lounge, which is set out over the water. You can snack on à la carte fish dishes and enjoy fresh cocktails. For pre- and post-dinner drinks, dip into The Library which is located just off the lobby; for daytime drinks and light meals, sandwiches and snacks, you don’t have to stray too far from your poolside lounger – there’s a bar just next to the infinity pool. The Level guests can also enjoy two internationally inspired dinners a week in The Level Lounge.
