Enjoyable Stay,Good Hospitality,Great Food.
We stayed as part of a tour group.Food was great with a beautiful array at breakfast and dinner. They have a nice, clean pool overlooking the great rift valley and the Lake Manyara. Staff was attentive and very Charming,Chef Nelson made sure that we got everything we needed as my daughter has some allergies.Lemack the manager was accommodating and ensured we got all we needed. We had only one night here but wished we could stay for more. Will definitely be back!!
Have you heard of the expression “You never get a second chance to make a good first impression?” When we first arrived at the Lake Manyara Lodge we waited patiently in line for our turn to check in. When it was our turn the front desk elderly man started to check us in but seemed to struggle finding our reservation and using the computer. He actually lost my friends passport in the pike of paper in front of him. Then before he has finished with us another customer came up to the counter to check in and he stopped checking us in and started checking him in. I expressed my dissatisfaction with what was going on and so did our safari operator and he finally passed the second guy off to another staff member who promptly checked in the other guy. BTW- the other guy got checked in before us. No WIFI in our room and it took 2 calls to the front desk to be told it was not working and offer to move rooms. Ended up moving from one end of the complex to the other. Took a long time for someone to come to help move our luggage. Second room WIFI was marginal. Locks on room doors are a joke and provide no security. They obviously have had security issues as we were told by multiple people to be sure to keep all valuables in the safe. Evening buffet supper was below average.
Great place, great staff
Wonderful stay here during our safari. Beautiful space, cute little pool and bar. Rooms aren't huge but they're just what you need and are very nice with proper netting. The staff at the restaurant and all over the grounds are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again for sure.
High up overlooking Lake Manyara National Park
You can see the Serena Lodge when touring Lake Manyara National Park high up on the western rift escarpment. So you know you are in for a treat before even getting to the lodge. Once you arrive the view from the lodge is breathtaking. Lower and upper rooms in separate chalets. Swimming-pool with bar close by. Star-filled skies. Lodge is clean, good food, warm, efficient service. Staff washed my cloth the same evening for a very reasonable fee. Impressive.
Nice lodge, beautiful view around the pool
This is a beautiful lodge with nice rooms. Around the swimming pool you get a lovely view. The birds at the lodge are very used to people and quite comfortable with grabbing food from your plate so watch out for them!
