This is another spectacular hotel within the serena chain. In our 8 days safari we lodged in 4 Serena hotels and they all have their own individul qualities. I loved the infinity pool and breathtaking views over Lake Manyara from here and the rooms were extremely spacious and clean.
Amazing service: safari and lodge
My husband and I did a 4 nights/5days private tour with Serena and it was wonderful. We stayed at Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. All hotels were great, the rooms were really comfortable with great views. The food was always good. Our driver/safari guide, Olais, was perfect. He knew a lot about all animals and you could see how excited he was about his profession. Winnie, the person that took care of our booking, was very attentive, available and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about them. It was a very special experience and I highly recommend them.
Place looks amazing
We had a bottom room as per other reviews which limited our view not a real problem to us as we were there for 1 nigh and not going to sit in the room to admire the view. Has a great infinity pool was cold but we still enjoyed it after a day in the park, there is a bar right by it and our drinks were served to us in the pool. Again really friendly and helpful staff. Food was generally good a slight issue which we reported to the staff and got an apology but did not ruin the dining experience has a reasonably priced bottle of wine. Grounds look really good at night.
Beautiful spot, excellent stay
We only stayed one night here after three days of 'tenting' in the Serengetti, It is a lovely location, perched on the escarpment looking over the National Park and the lake beyond. The room and grounds were very nice, and the restaurant provided us with excellent meals. The pool area with the bar beside it was postcard perfect, right on the edge of the property. They also have a large garden to grow much of their own produce, plus they supply water to the local population. As it was included as part of our safari, I'm not sure of the cost, but a great stay nonetheless.
Round buildings very comfortable accommodation with good lighting and WiFi in the bedroom which was a first on our trip. There was a small fan which didn’t blow the mosquito nets around as they were weighted at the bottom. All our meals were buffet style, they were tasty but lunch and dinner were very similar in their choices. The lighting around the buffet was very dark making it not easy to read the menu choices. The gardens were beautiful with ponds flowing around reception and frogs croaking. The pool looked lovely and also the bar overlooking the park with plenty of tables and chairs. Very friendly bar staff, would have liked to have stayed longer.
