We had THE BEST Customer service experience ever!!! I Highly recommend staying at this lodge. The room was spacious and immaculate, very tastefully decorated (flower petals on the bed💕). The a/c worked very well! The game drives both on land and water were spectacular! Our Tour Guide Ms B. was phenomenal! She was our guide throughout our stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and given a nice cold drink and a cold lemon scented towel to wipe our faces. Ms. Grace displayed awesome hospitality and was able to schedule a special Eco tour for my husband. Shout out to Mr. Albert for such a wonderful Eco tour! The food was good. My husband would like to have seen a selection of wild meats on the menu. I can’t say enough about this place! It’s a great place to just go and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with yourself or your loved one (s).
Nice place but service and safaris bad
We stayed here and the grounds are beautiful, nice rooms nice pools but The service at restaurant was terrible, the servers would hardly come by to fill our wine glasses almost like they were told to save money The safaris were very commercial they stick to the roads and can’t go off road. We also drove the same trail both days but there were other trails, same for boat rides. We had a guide who didn’t know much either. The people working their were not very friendly either. I would go elsewhere. We did other place like Camp Okavango and this was not very good.
Loved this lodge In the heart of the national park which is perfect for early morning and evening game drives and river cruising. Very comfortable rooms with view of the river and the Moroccan style decor suited the desert location. Food excellent and plentiful and a lovely plunge pool to cool off in the heat of the day. Staff were so friendly and helpful and I loved that all the guides where female! Wished we could have stayed longer.
While planning a trip to Africa we knew we had very limited time we could spend at the Chobe National Park and were reluctant whether 24 hr stay would be enough. Of course it wasn't, but... One of the main reasons behind our choice of Chobe Game Lodge was the location - the hotel is located inside the National Park. It is eco-friendly, offers both river cruises and game drives throughout the day and treats its guests to delicious meals and snacks. We got help from Chobe Game Lodge staff organizing a transfer from Victoria Falls and from the moment we stepped out of the airport we knew we were in good hands. Transfer and border went smoothly, upon arrival at the Lodge while filling out the forms we were offered a welcome drink and some snacks. Since our flight was delayed we missed the afternoon river cruise, but our kind hosts offered us a boat to catch up with the main cruise and enjoy Chobe river before a delicious dinner. Morning Game Drive (5:30am) rendered us unforgettable encounters with local wildlife. Our guide Elly made sure we got to see as much as the bush had to offer in the early hours of the morning. After a delicious breakfast we went back to the river to enjoy bathing elephants - majestic animals were practically posing for our pictures. Our hosts were very kineld and helpful trying to accommodate all our needs and requests. To sum things up they managed to make our short visit 100% fulfilling - we got the most we could out of our 24 hr stay at Chobe Game Lodge. Surely there's much more the Lodge has to offer than what we've experienced, but that we will discover during our next visit as it is certainly a place worth visiting over and over again.
A Special Place
Our three night stay at Chobe Game Lodge far exceeded our high expectations on every level. The accomodation was very well appointed, spacious and met all our requirements. All the managers and staff were extremely friendly, engaging and professional. Our wildlife guide RB was amazing, searching down a variety of wildlife that we'd hope to see in our time there and so very knowledgable. The use of eco friendly electric safari vehicles and watercraft is to be commended. We also enjoyed our time spent on the lodge's riverside boardwalk, a great place for afternoon tea and to spot wildlife such as weaver birds, paradise flycatchers, hippos, crocs and much more. Thanks to Ruth and her team for a great safari experience.
