Perfect rooms, lovely staff, delicious food en lots of animals
The perfect stay in this eco- and woman-friendly hotel. The food was very good and abundant. De staff was super friendly (we ❤️ Chris) en de rooms were beautiful and clean. All the staff were very professional and we loved the game drives and the boat drives. We saw lots of game we never seen before. A very well organized stay
Immerse yourself in the wild and be treated like a King (or Queen)
The whole experience from start to finish is second to none, the staff cannot do enough to look after your every need. The lodge itself is well situated in the Game Reserve next to the river so very easy access to the wildlife, no long journeys to get you to where you need to be. The room we had was superb with outstanding views over the river and excellent facilities. The food was amazing and every night we had a different dining experience. Our waiter was attentive and considerate and it was such a joy to be greeted by all the staff with happy smiling faces. the singing and dancing from the staff was very much appreciated. I would rate this stay as excellent based on the lodge alone but to add the game drives and river cruises on top takes the whole experience to a new level. The guides are all women and they certainly know their stuff, our wildlife encounters were close and beyond all our expectations due to the skill of our guide. We cannot wait to go back. If you are in any doubt whether to choose this venue for your holiday I would say do not think twice, do it, you will not be sorry.
Perfect milestone birthday celebration
We were greeted by Joann and Tania Bruwer and introduced to the camp by Richard. It was the start of a special birthday weekend The lodge is beautifully kept ! It felt good to be in eco friendly accommodation! The family suite with its own pool and the standard rooms are all perfect. The staff at the camp are all helpful friendly and enthusiastic. They are a phenomenal team! Special mention goes to: Ellie our constant guide who is a jack of all trades, driving, sailing the wonderful solar boat and sharing valuable information. Chef Wayne and chef lamah and the whole catering team looked after our need. We enjoyed every meal and every creation Server Ronald ran around us for 3 days morning noon and night. We had meals in different venues in the lodge which gave a wonderful variety! The chobe team all exceptional in the way they looked after the needs of 3 generations ranging from 9. - 78 years old. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Can highly recommend you visit for at least 4 nights to enjoy cruises on the river and game drives.
An incredible experience
From check-in to check-out, we had a truly wonderful experience. We spent 5 nights at the end of July. Dry season is great for game viewing. This is the only lodge inside the national park. You are allocated a dedicated driver for game and boat cruises as well as a waitress for all your meals. This is for the entire duration and you end up building a very good relationship with the staff. Game viewing is spectacular. Only downside is lack of rhinos owing to poaching. Ample lions, elephants, buffalos and the odd leopard. Rooms are extremely nice and decorated in a classy manner. We had dinner in 5 different venues, which adds to the overall experience. The breakfast, lunch and dinner options are ample and the quality is extremely good. There is a public pool and some rooms have private pools. The water can be cold in July. There are also 2 bars, gym and a spa. Staff are incredible accommodating. Special mention to Irene (ranger), Leene (waitress), Lexy (head of FnB). The lodge rangers, which is an all female team, are very polite and follow all the national park rules. However, there are other third party drivers who show little regard for the rules and drive off road with no etiquette for other viewers. The lodge rangers should be more aggressive in challenging and reporting these rule breakers. We stayed on a fully inclusive basis. It’s certainly not cheap, but an amazing overall experience. Well done to the team, which is led by Johan the GM.
Wildlife on tap.
We had a few days here in May 2022, our first post covid trip. Transfer from the border with Zimbabwe was great with wildlife being spotted pretty much immediately. Room was excellent with pretty much everything provided. The guides here are all female and you will stay with the same guide for the duration of your stay. The way the jeeps are set up everyone gets a "window" seat which means excellent viewing. Of course you're here for the wildlife and this place absolutely does not disappoint. The boat rides are as good as the jeep rides. The sunrises are spectacular. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
