Phillip Malepa has been part and parcel of Lebo’s Soweto, founded by his brother, and the interactive tours it offers for many years. He grew up learning to tell the story of Soweto and Sowetans thanks to his late parents, who were active in the fight against apartheid. As a tour guide, Phillip is a powerful storyteller, taking guests back to the country’s historical events as well as portraying what makes South Africa and Soweto unique today.
