Patience Matlapeng is South Africa’s first black female bush guide. Having grown up in Molatedi village, farming became a great deal of her life but it was in the Madikwe Game Reserve where her dreams began and she was hired by a local safari lodge. She swiftly climbed the ranks to head field guide at aha Thakadu River Camp where she was a ranger for 12 years before becoming General Manager. Her passion for wildlife is as enthralling as her safari stories.
