Andy grew up in Kalk Bay, on the False Bay coastline of Cape Town, where he grew to love surfing and mountain walking. After two years in the Navy, and with a diver and officer course under his belt, he headed to the UK to work as an engineer. The next six years took Andy to all corners of the world and he realised what great potential South Africa had for tourism. With the new dispensation of democracy dawning, he began his search for a piece of land to make his vision a reality and began a new chapter, in Plettenberg Bay.
