The strength of The Strand lies in its location on Swakopmund’s historic Mole, surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean. We’re a gateway to Namibia’s coastal and desert environments; the rolling dunes of the Namib and diverse aquatic life. Head to the Brewer and Butcher for dinner to experience Namibia’s German-inspired love of beer and meat. You can tour our onsite microbrewery, which produces four beers on tap, including the malty Märzen and a fruity Weiss beer. Our chefs work with high-quality meats, from beef oxtail to lamb shank and pork schnitzel, and our waiters will help you pair the dishes with our craft beers.
Being in the centre of Swakopmund, you have the city’s historic sites at your fingertips. You can take a catamaran cruise to spot dolphins and seals in Walvis Bay, explore the Namib Desert or even take a hot air balloon ride.
