No other One&Only has views like this of one of the oldest mountains in the world …
When you check into the resort, the first thing you’ll see is Table Mountain in all her glory. You can marvel at her through the panoramic windows of our Vista Bar and Lounge where we also serve the most Instagrammed afternoon tea in South Africa. Then we have Nobu, an institution, where as a guest you have more access than most. Kids can learn to make their own yellowfin tuna sushi with the master chef. You can even have Nobu for room service.
We have one of the largest outdoor swimming pools in Sub-Saharan Africa and two manmade islands, one of which is dedicated to our standout spa. The other is occupied by rooms surrounded 360 degrees by a water canal which we share with the V&A Waterfront. You could be sitting on the terrace and watch the early morning paddle boarders drift by on the canal while listening to the continuous birdsong. We’ve just done a massive refurb and are opening up our top Table Mountain Suite and Presidential suites so that we can say we have possibly the nicest suites in Cape Town. It sounds very biased, but we truly believe that this incredible standard of modern luxury will help people experience the city from a whole different level of comfort.
The shuttle to the waterfront is seldom used because guests usually prefer to walk. It’s five minutes to get to any of the restaurants along the V&A. The top restaurants such as Test Kitchen are a bit further but less than a £6 Uber ride. Everything else is quite literally at your fingertips, like the Two Oceans Aquarium right next door which families love. You’re on the southernmost tip of the continent where two majestic oceans – the Atlantic and Indian Oceans – merge. Most of our guests who go out for a 10-kilometre run come back having done 20 kilometres or more because it’s just a beautiful seaboard that never ends. You can go to the beach in Camps Bay and sip cocktails by amazing white sand. I could go on; you just need to come.
Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Laura, who's travelled extensively in South Africa. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember - ex banker who can show you the hottest foodie spots in Cape Town, the award-winning young sommelier who can introduce you to Stellenbosch's finest wines and the walking safari ranger who can guide you to the best game.
