Enjoy a true slice of island life at El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island, which lies in the unspoilt Bacuit archipelago. You can expect a rustic village vibe, with 50 traditional Filipino-style cottages, many on over-water stilts, set around a cove backed by limestone cliffs. Each one has a thatched roof and has been built with indigenous materials like walnut floors and capiz shell tiles to blend with the environment. We’ve also added modern touches like full-height glass doors that you can throw open to watch the sunrise from your private veranda.
The resort is set on a sandy beach complete with palm trees and tropical plants, where you can soak up the sun. The water is so clear and inviting, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. In fact, Miniloc’s house reef is one of Bacuit Bay’s top dive spots, famous for its coral and hundreds of different marine species, including huge schools of jack fish. Guests also love our location; we’re just a short boat ride from must-visit destinations like the Big and Small Lagoon, as well as Entalula and Snake Island.
When they’re not out exploring, most people love to just lounge by the pool or treat themselves to a massage at the spa. Be sure to visit our eco-lounge, where island experts are waiting to tell you about the sustainable activities on Miniloc. Our resort is globally recognised for embracing low-impact, nature-based guest activities like forest hikes and kayaking trips. We’ve worked hard to make the resort eco-friendly too, eliminating single-use plastic and installing a desalination plant as a sustainable water source.
We’re also known for our staff eco-education programmes and sustainable menus. At the Clubhouse restaurant, you can enjoy seafood caught by the local Kiminawit, Guano, and Maytegued fishermen who also lead fishing trips for our guests. We’re proud that most of our staff are Palawan locals – they’re our greatest asset. Every month, we provide environmental classes for the Bebeladan and Kiminawit communities, which most of our staff belong to.
Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Suzanne, who's travelled extensively in The Philippines. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember – the free diver who can take you swimming with turtles, the guides who can take you to secret lagoons and hidden beaches, and the locals who can school you in the art of nipa weaving.
