Set in a secluded bay in the Marlborough Sounds, this welcoming lodge offers relaxation and fantastic wildlife-viewing opportunities.

From the moment you arrive at this natural hideaway you will feel enveloped by a sense of tranquillity. The magnificent views of forested hills and placid waters can be admired from every corner of the resort and while it may be tempting to relax on the private beach or deck and soak up the natural beauty, there are a host of activities available. Follow hiking trails to hidden waterfalls, discover secluded beaches, explore the coastline by kayak or arrange to go swimming with wild dolphins. After a busy day relax in the cedar hot tub or treat yourself to an indigenous-inspired massage at the spa.

Begin your day with breakfast on the waterfront and enjoy light bites and excellent coffee at the café on the jetty while watching boats in the bay. Dinner is served at the fine-dining Foredeck Restaurant which overlooks the Queen Charlotte Sound – tuck into fresh local seafood including snapper and crab while sipping a glass of fine Marlborough wine by the open fire.

A scattering of large wooden apartments are perched on a hillside overlooking the Bay of Many Coves and they are available with one, two or three bedrooms. Some of them involve a bit of a hike up the hill but you will be rewarded with sensational views over the bay. Each apartment features warm wood interiors, a spacious living room, panoramic windows to maximise the views, free Wi-Fi and a balcony overlooking the bay.
