Hilltop lodge with spectacular views and a cosy, boutique vibe.

Stewart Island is an unspoilt natural paradise of rugged coastline, golden beaches and forested hills that are home to 130 species of birds including the elusive kiwi. This intimate, peaceful and secluded lodge is an ideal base for exploring the island. The lodge has wonderful views of Halfmoon Bay and Foveaux Strait; its extensive grounds and gardens are home to many native birds including kaka (parrots) and are a lovely spot to relax in. The terrace offers sweeping views of the gardens and ocean beyond, and the lodge is also just five minutes’ walk from the village centre where you'll find restaurants and a small pub.

The six beautiful guest rooms have en suite bathrooms plus tea and coffee making facilities, and open directly onto an expansive balcony. There's a communal lounge with great views over the bay, continental breakfast is included and you can take advantage of complimentary pick-up from the ferry.
