The Fairmont Royal York is a Grand Dame hotel in Toronto that has hosted royalty and dignitaries since it opened in 1929. Today, it aspires to make every guest feel as pampered as its VIPs.

The Fairmont Royal York is a large and grand hotel. It takes a lot of staff and facilities to serve the discerning guests who fill the 1343 rooms and suites, but the Fairmont delivers with aplomb. A scene-setting champagne and cocktail bar in the lobby is a fitting venue for such a prestigious place and ideal for an aperitif before dinner at the Fairmont’s highly regarded REIGN restaurant. Mornings transform REIGN into a wonderful bakery, serving pastries and artisan-roasted coffee. Grab breakfast to go before joining the PATH network – Toronto’s underground pedestrian network. There’s direct access from the Fairmont Royal York. While the standard Fairmont Rooms offer an abundance of traditional luxury, consideration should be given to the Gold rooms. These tasteful and elegant rooms are finished with art-deco accents. Opting for one of these rooms also grants exclusive access to private check-in on the 18th floor, an invite-only lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening canapes, and a full range of luxe Le Labo bathroom amenities in the guestrooms. The Health Club and indoor pool are on hand for active types, and there’s a range of high-end boutiques to explore within the hotel, including a spa and hair salon.
