Relaxing by the sea
One stays in bungalows, located in a lush garden directly by the beach. Nice rooms with a terrace with chairs. The shower is out-doors (but protected). There are two pool areas with sunchairs as well as sunchairs on the beach. The beach is long. Here various hotels share the beach together with public beach areas. The water is clear. No ski-jets are aloud, which we appreciated. There are restaurants within the hotel, if you want to eat outside the hotel there are several within walking distance. The hotel is in a town so rooms close to the road might be noisy as well as rooms next to a nearby restaurant/night-club.
Oasis in the madness
In the middle of our trip we wanted a few days of doing nothing, we think we picked the right place. The beach villa was fantastic, we were literally on the beach and albeit people could walk past we felt save and waking up to the crashing of the waves is not something we experience very often in Evesham. The place was spotless if a little dated but everything worked and when we had one small issue in the great outside shower a workman was there within minutes to fix, after I got out of it of course.!!We indulged in the six senses spa, having a two for one deal with the beautiful one having a detox massage with myself having a hot stone one, so good we booked 2 more the following day. I can honestly say they are up there with the best I have had and I love a massage, this was my first 4 hand massage... go for it, it’s fantastic. The food wasn’t as good as you may find elsewhere and was more expensive then other nearby restaurants but the place was spotless and the staff were friendly, a special note breakfast was definitely better than average with a great choice. But people will come here for the beach and sea, you couldn’t get closer. The beach is clean, the beach beds were very good and the beach front pool fantastic. However, other than the spa and beach the staff make this place. Very friendly and genuinely interested in your visit. Glad we came...
Awful experience. Do not stay here.
Terrible hotel experience. The rooms are outdated. The bed was a king size but there was no duvet on it when we arrived. I called reception to ask if they had forgotten it and they told me I could find it in the closet? So confused as to why they wouldn’t make the bed for us when it’s a 5 star hotel and then we realized the duvet was too small for the bed so they clearly didn’t want it looking wrong when we arrived. Secondly our shower was broken and we called reception once and went in person once to ask to have it fixed and no solution was found. We were left with a leaky shower head with no water pressure for the duration of our stay. Our toilet also required 2 or 3 flushes every single time we used it which is absolutely unacceptable anywhere, never mind a high end hotel. We asked for them to have our laundry done while we were out at the beach the day before we left. We arrived back to find they had not touched the laundry bag left on the bed. My boyfriend had the great idea of leaving a fork under the side table to see if they even cleaned the room properly while we were gone and it was still there every day when we came back to the room. Lastly, when leaving the hotel they quoted us $46 USD for a taxi to the airport. We called a local company and they quoted us $8 USD... we immediately canceled the taxi through the hotel and went with the local company. Overall a fine experience if you were paying very little money and not expecting much. At the price you can get much, much better in the area. The Sheraton looked great every time we walked past.
Never go to this Hotel !
Horrible welcoming , we invited our friend and paid with our credit card in booking.com. after that they sent a letter they asked the card holder to be present at check-in. In fact, when we arrived they refused to check in our guest , for unknown reasons, refusing to accept a credit card with presented holder and offered to withdraw cash. For 5 star hotel it’s not professional. Not advising you be there .
Evason Ana Mandara was a nice surprise. Rustic and charming resort . We booked a room over the beach , so comfortable being a few steps from the sand , also opposite gym and right to one of the pools ! Nice gardens. It is not luxury in the actual sense but has the charm of the old resort we used to enjoy when we were young . Beach is public but people choose other areas , this one was quiet , has also a few umbrellas next to our room . Amazing Spa service . Good breakfast over the beach . Love the setting . Many people mentioned noise from street , we barely listen any , yes some hammering from a hotel construction opposite hotel not very active though. Love our cottage and it verandah! Staying there reading and just jumping to enjoy the warm seas . Beach quite clean and very long can accommodate quite a number of people . Amazing view over an island, very near the city center a plus . We did a tour using cycles / pedicab , with people from the resort and was great way to know some historical places . Security was good . Did not get value for money because was high season - Chinese holidays. Never regret our choice . Reception very good organizing our transport to airport and late check out .
