Great food, great dining service, clean amenities, but beach towel and lounge chair Nazis.
So this was actually where I was planning to stay, but the beach front bungalows were out. I stayed at a nearby resort but went here at least e once a day. I've been to sailing clubs in Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. Service and food was always good so I keep coming back. This was the first time in Mui Ne. Great grounds waitress was great and food and drinks were good. My problem is the one service person for the beach attendant. I easily spent $100-150 each visit here and when it was sunset time I wanted to move out to the beach chairs. The guy said we give priority to hotel guest first and told me I could sit there. I eventually said there's no body here and sat anyways. The day before I sat there and not a problem at all. What bothered the most was there was no one there, yet still he didn't allow to sit, hence why I disregarded him and sat anyways. So that was the first instance with the beach attendant. The next day I came by to have drinks and light fare at the restaurant and decided to take a swim. I went over to some empty beach chair and he said I couldn't sit there because of the number of guest Sure ok. But before this I asked if I can use a towel and the towel attendant happily gave me one. The guy that said I couldn't sit there because I wasn't a hotel guest, then proceeded to say I can't use that towel and took it away from me. At this point it's completely rude to be taken a towel in front of people after he said we can sit down. After spending easily $300-400 total on just food alone total over the three days, then being denied service for a towel and a seat ok the beach chairs I was pretty disgruntle at that point. Is it going to break the bank if I use a towel? Shifting to the nextdoor resorts chair wasn't a problem either, bút really a towel? Pathetic. Sailing club you need to train your staff to be respectful. After this experience I don't want to stay at your place and I won't recommend it either.
Loud and noise resort. Expensive
They play very loud an aggressive techno music right next door at 7am in the morning. Please avoid this hotel at all cost if you want a peaceful holiday in quiet atmosphere. The loud techno music called “vinahouse” will completely spoil your holiday.
Difficult to top this resort
We have been to Vietnam 15 times over the last 17 years (visiting our son and his family) and have travelled extensively. Bar "Homestays", which are always a fantastic experience, this peaceful & beautiful resort takes some beating. The Sailing Club offers bungalow-style accommodation in discrete groups, dotted around lush green gardens, full of birds & cheeky squirrels. The bungalows are stylish, clean and very comfortable with easy access to the pool and restaurant area. Breakfast is offered in the usual buffet style with the option of ordering from the restaurant breakfast menu as well. The pool has a lovely, beachfront setting and is a great playground for the children. The beach here is wide and (for Vietnam) pretty clean, though you do have to keep your wits about you when a beginner is having a kite-surfing lesson! Jet skis are also available to hire. The location is good but we felt the need to use a taxi to get to the best restaurants on the strip. Other meals in the hotel restaurant were of excellent quality but fairly expensive. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. The only downsides were small - the pool has a central ridge across it making it impossible to walk/swim its length without barking your shin/knee on the step. Adjacent resorts could be noisy at times during the day Thank you Sailing Club for an idyllic weekend.
Mui Ne Gem
The Sailing Club is a top-shelf resort on the Mui Ne strip. Breakfast is fantastic with no limit to the amount of caffeinated bevvies one can order. They even brought me a special birthday breakfast chocolate bread pudding - it was delightful! The pool is excellent, and the rooms are modern and well-kept. You can also buy excellent hats for the sun in their shop. I love my huge sun hat. We highly recommend The Sailing Club.
Few days break
