There are two very different dining options. The Opera is a contemporary, casual trattoria-style restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner until late, with al fresco tables overlooking Lam Son Square, a large show kitchen, and a boutique wine selection from all over the world. Square One is an atmospheric venue for simple and authentic Vietnamese and French cuisine. The contemporary 2 Lam Son bar provides a stylish setting for signature cocktails and vintage wines. The beautifully designed, fully refurbished rooms and suites offer a blend of colonial-style décor with eclectic furnishings, neutral tones and modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, Bose Bluetooth speakers and in-room iPads. Park Rooms have city or pool and garden views. Park Deluxe Rooms are set on the third floor with direct pool access. Park Suites are more spacious and luxurious with a separate living room area.
Caravelle Saigon is right next to the city’s famous Opera House, built theatre, music and dance shows. The hotel’s location makes it an excellent option for exploring Ho Chi Minh City – highlights like the City Hall, Ho Chi Minh City Museum, fter a day of sightseeing you can retreat to the hotel’s seventh floor, home to an indulgent city-view spa and a leafy poolside area with shaded day beds. There’s a great choice of food and drink here. Go for dinner at Reflections Restaurant where you can enjoy seasonal flavours like tempura soft shell crab and roast monkfish with dill and bacon crust. Tuck into breakfast at Nineteen Buffet Restaurant plus lunch and dinner buffets with everything from roasts to ribs and sushi to salads. There’s a pool bar and a couple of places to choose from for snacks or an evening drink, and be sure to visit the Café de l’Opera on the ground floor, on the corner of historic Dong Khoi Street and Lam Son Square – this has been a popular haunt for travellers and locals alike since the hotel opened its doors back in 1959. The rooms are light and inviting, with a warm cream palette, sleek wood finishes and large windows to make the most of the views over the city below. Upgrade from a Deluxe Room to an Opera Room for views over the historic Saigon Opera House; Signature Rooms have access to the Signature Lounge with extras including buffet breakfast, and Signature Premium Rooms have extra space.
