Location, location, location...
...is beautiful... built on 2K beach. It’s a perfect place to chill out, relax and enjoy the excellent friendly service. Pros Our butler, Andrew who we saw everyday and even managed to move us to a better room when the whole roof collapsed in our bathroom! Food is delicious although a Vietnamese buffet one evening would be a good option. Temporary spa was great. And finally... watching the baby turtles being released on the beach. It’s well worth getting up for - an amazing experience! And to give a balanced review... Cons Music in the restaurants in v. repetitive and in huge need of attention 2:1 ‘happy hour’ - rare to have such a very limited range of drinks... and overall cocktails were not great. Our Pina Colada was missing a vital ingredient! There’s no shade by the pool - a must in this day and age Surprised Dominic (the general manager who lives on the resort) was not more visible around the hotel. Bearing in mind the roof collapsed (in our bathroom) would have been a catastrophic life changing event.... we would have a expected (from any hotel) a call or follow up from the GM! Alas he was silent and for the most part, absent from view. Overall, a great location but there areas of improvement which could easily be made
The perfect balance!
Recently stayed here for 6 nights with my wife for our honeymoon. We can’t thank the team enough who are so professional, kind and thoughtful in their approach. None more so than our GEM Vee whose incredible intuitiveness gave us the precise balance of attention and help to ensure we had everything we needed on a daily basis as well as affording us the space and freedom to enjoy the beautiful surroundings we were in - she is really worth her weight in gold. The hotel itself was really well thought out in every aspect of it’s construction and mindful of the surrounding beauty it finds it sits within. The stretch of beach is worth staying here for alone. The food is absolutely spot on, even if the chef is a Man Utd fan 😂 At least he’s not a kopite! We wouldn’t think twice about visiting Six Senses Con Dao again I’m the future.
We spent 5 days at Six Sense on the tail end of our honeymoon in Cambodia and Vietnam, and it was the perfect end. After traveling and exploring, we wanted a beautiful, serene beach destination that allowed us to relax, and Six Sense Con Dao did not disappoint. The hotel, nestled between a long private beach and archipelago mountains, provided us with the beach, pool, sun and sand that we were looking for. And while there were plenty of activities to enjoy, we loved our time just being ourselves, swimming, and relaxing. What made Six Senses extra special were their focus on being ecologically and emotionally responsible. We can be pampered and feel special while also taking care of the environment, ourselves, and one another. We also have to give a special thanks to our GEM, Andrew, and the entire staff for making our stay memorable. but also gave us the space to just be. We hope to return to Con Dao or explore another Six Sense location one day soon.
A dream destination off south Vietnam
Six senses con dao is pure indulgence. The accommodation is nothing short of spectacular, spacious and offering views of the archetypal tropical paradise beach+sea+palm trees panorama. The food is all home grown and delicious. The resort is highly eco conscious and the staff attentive. The spa offers high quality treatments by very skilled therapists. A fantastic resort all around
We just left after 5 nights on Con Dao towards the end of a tour of SE Asia and it was a welcome contrast to some of the other places we’d been! The property itself reflects its location - it couldn’t be closer to the sea, so certainly at the time we visited it was a little windswept. I loved the feeling that you are almost in the wild when you’re there - there’s not much else to do (other than a tour of the prisons which is definitely worth doing), so it really is all about the things you can do on the resort. We found that with plenty of walking up and down the beach (we did our bit collecting some plastic when we were there, but there isn’t much there and beach is exceptionally clean) we didn’t need much else to do in the 5 nights we were there. We didn’t even get as far as a spa (which is unusual for us). The food was amazing (thanks to Chef Dan and his team) and the people were really truly brilliant. To single out a few, Hayley our GEM was always contactable and efficient, Jasmine always has a smile on her face and has really excellent English, Yong is a cheeky young chap who always kept us entertained (even though he supports Man United) and finally of course Kema who took us on the tour and has incredible energy. This is just singling our a few, but genuinely they all did a great job. Thanks guys! We will definitely return when in the future when we can.
