Remote, Restful, and Environmentally Sustainable Resort
We just returned to one of the most fascinating resorts we have ever experienced. We love this unique little island that is a quick 40 minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The natural beauty is breathtaking. The grounds have developed over the years and becoming more colorful. Sunrise is stunning. Walking the beach and picking up seashells on our way to breakfast buffet by the sea. Sunset sitting up at the Elephant Bar always a treat. I have never seen as many stars at one time as I have seen here. It is so much fun looking out at all of the fishing boats at night. The beach is flat, spacious and an easy access from the residential villas. The staff are all caring and eager to serve with attention to every detail to make guests comfortable. We loved meeting Mr. Dominic Scoles, the General Manager. He graciously gave us exclusive time answering our many questions. He is a perfect fit for this kind of unique resort. We also loved our GEM, Miss Truc. She joyfully cared for our every need and many more we didn’t even ask for. We felt so loved. Mr. Drew, one of the resort chefs cooked us a private request for butter chicken and naan. It was by far the best we have ever tasted. He knows his business and also made me some turmeric and ginger tea for breakfast. We love this unspoiled place and hope we can return. However, the wind can be strong at times which is why I only gave it a 4 out of 5. If you are a light sleeper, it could be a concern when it is windy. However, we slept well.
In One word: Heaven 😄
We want to thank all the staff of Six Senses Con Dao, You made are staying memorable and very enjoyable. Everyone is working very hard and they all should be proud of themselves: cleaners, waiters, chefs, masseurs, yoga teachers, receptionist, drivers, a particular thanks goes to our GEM Haley, She’s been so kind and helpful; Ms Van, a heart warming soul💖we had yoga classes almost every day, all the teachers are very professional, our favourite teacher though was Kina ( hope I wrote her name correctly). there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this experience has been! This resort is perfect for those who are seeking to relax, recharge and unplug from the busy daily life, the food is delicious and the surrounding is breathtaking, great for your body and your mind. We’ll keep All of You forever in our hearts❤️ Thank you very much. Grazie mille. Xin Chao. Sara & Luigi
Luxury at its finest
Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 days in Jan. Everything here was perfect. The beach was meticulously beautiful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The service was 5-star. I can’t say enough about the staff from the restaurant to our concierge who seem to read our minds. They were so great with our kids (toddler and infant). I would stay here again when I come back.
Six Senses Con Dao has maintained its spot as one of Vietnam’s best resorts for the last 8 years.
We’ve been to Six Senses Con Dao around 8 times. This most recent visit we really appreciated the activities such as the (new) guided hike up the mountain, as well as the 3 km guided trek on the other side of the island, and the composting lessons as well. As always, they are located on the best beach in Vietnam with the finest sand and the cleanest water. The food quality is always to high standards. Service quality is exceptionally high, and we really appreciated the high attention to customer experience shared among the staff members. It’s a peaceful environment and a good place to go for a relaxing, laid-back experience. But there are not a lot of activities outside of the hotel so if you want a place with a lot of activities, then you might consider Phu Quoc, Hoi An or Nha Trang.
The hidden gem of Vietnam
My most favourite resorts in Vietnam is Six Senses Ninh Van Bay and Six senses Con Dao. It's been our 8th times visiting Six Senses Con Dao as a family. We enjoyed every minutes there. It's so easy to get to the resort with a short flight and 15 mins drive from the airport. Con Dao, a small area in the far south of Vietnam, just like a hidden gem in the middle of the ocean. I am so proud, and with a lot of respect, that Con Dao is still being to reserve its natural beauty and charm. Not being abused like other area of Vietnam like Nha Trang, Da Nang, or Phu Quoc, Con Dao has reserved itself to be small, wild and wonferful. Six Senses Con Dao is a destination to visit if you want to enjoy nature, charming but professional hospitality, and in a sustainable way. The resort is designed and maintained up to it's 5 stars standard, with spectacular surrounding nature. The staff and Six Senses is always super friendly, caring, enthusiastic, and professional. The Vietnamese food here is the best among all hotels and resorts I have been to. Being a Vietnamese who have high standard for our country food, I must applause for the good work that the Vietnamese cooks here in recreating authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The hiking and trekking tours to the mountain and national forest were so memorable. A must-do activity when you come here, to enjoy nature and its beauty. I admire and appreciate Six Senses effort in being environmental friendly and sustainable. We were lucky enough to witness SS Con Dao in releasing the newly hatched baby sea turles to the ocean in early morning, as it's on-going activity in helping to protect and reserve this precious species. We also enjoyed our time in visitng the gardens, the mushroom hut and learn about composting which is easy and so interesting that we are going to try composting at home. Six Senses Con Dao and its people are always close to my heart and our family will definitely go back there as well as exploring other Six Senses all over the world.
