Security harassed me 3 AM when I was peacefully asleep!
I was peacefully asleep in my bed-second night of my stay- when the phone started ringing 3am and someone was knocking on my door at the same time. Half asleep I could not comprehend what was happening—start running between the phone and door- and then I hear from outside that a man is yelling if I don’t open the door they will call the police. I was terrified to open the door at the middle of the night as I did not know who it was and my room was next to rooftop bar- I thought some drunk was knocking on my door as a night before I was up all night because of bar noise-I said give me a second to call the reception back before I open the door- the receptionist said there was a system error and they did not have a record of me Being in the room! This was my second night! I checked in and had keys! That’s how I was treated! Harassed, terrified and then yelled at as “well, mistakes happen-why am I making such a big deal”. I tried to escalate the issue later- and found out IHG sold the hotel- so no one to address the issue. WORST hotel-stay experience! DONOT STAY! AVOID! DC streets are safer than this hotel!
Wonderful place and wonderful people.
The best place to stay in Red Boiling Springs Tenn. Everyone there are very down to earth. Talking to them is like talking to an old friend you haven't seen in awhile. The food is out of this world. Love the rooms. I highly recommend checking them.
Good Hotel Minus the Cannibis Please
I recently stayed at this hotel this past week. The room was clean and functional and the check-in staff and bellman service was excellent. For those reasons, my rating is 4 instead of 5. Otherwise, if I had to base on the description below, I would have given the hotel a 2. My concern? I checked out around 3 am on Saturday to catch an early morning flight out and was overwhelmed by the strong smell of cannibis in the elevator. How can one mistake that malodorous skunk-like smell. It was so strong that I had to put on my face mask, which I carry in my pocket. Mind you - I was on the 3rd floor going down to the lobby and the smell was that bad. I advised the woman at the front desk that I thought someone had been smoking the stuff in the elevator. Her response - “..now it may not be anyone smoking but it could have been was on their clothing...”. That was her only response - a justification. Lol! I had been at that hotel for 3 nights and never once noticed this occurrence. So - for those checking out in the wee hours of the morning, beware of people hanging out in the elevator with cannibis BO. Lol!
Very Very Poor
Very very disappointing stay. $100 per night refundable security fee payable on check in - not mentioned on website.. but the rude desk staff when a moment was needed to transfer the right money onto a bank card? And the amenities fee? What a disgrace. Not mentioned AT ALL to us... and only explained when questioning the security fee refund upon checkout? Thanks for ripping us off... Only stay if you’d like to pay extra fees for absolutely nothing at all and then wait 10 days for what’s left of your security fee to be refunded. And you can add in no room service and deplorable maid services. Thanks for a great stay!
Great location and room was nice. There is no open restaurant on site except for breakfast which was disappointing. Tons of places local to go but it was so cold I didn’t want to venture out. Walls are a bit thin but overall place was clean.
