Even better than I thought it would be
I visited recently during the pandemic and found that even with all the mayhem the virus has bestowed upon society, this hotel does an awesome job regardless and makes guests welcome. The only issue I had was when getting a taxi when leaving. For some reason the taxi that the concierge had thought was showing up at the front of the building left, and I ended up waiting additional time for a new taxi call up from the concierge desk to show up. The gentleman seems confused, and that put me off a bit.
We had a wonderful time at hotel! Lobby is beautiful as is the courtyard! The rooms were large and comfortable. The people at the front desk were accommodating and also helpful especially Matthew who went out of his way to help us when are car died at checkout! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Don’t waste your money.
We stayed there because the hotel has a great pool and we anticipated that we might need to kill some time there, so instead booking a $100 hotel we splurged! We have never received email that pool is closed, restaurant,is room service only, ( with 20% automatic gratuity and some up charge as well), no free internet, no refrigerator. Our breakfast that was rather small was 109$ for 3 people and only coffee arrived hot. I cooked for a family so I know what 3 eggs omelette looks like. Unless it was eggs from a tiny chicken it wasn’t 3 eggs omelette. $18 pancakes were also tiny. My son had emergency snack immediately afterwards. Breakfast arrived with beautiful gourmet small orange and raspberry jam. Small Tabasco sauce and ketchup. We arrived on Sunday and were asked if we want to park at the garage. I saw that it was plenty space on Sunday on the street so I checked and it was free on Sunday. We saved $56. Hotel has great decor and is very clean. It’s fantastic place if you’re paying with your company credit card. If you’re paying with your own don’t waist your time there. I happened to shut a beautiful picture there.
Outstanding customer service (thanks Matthew)
Even with COVID we had to make a trip up to dc to take care of some paperwork. We had some last minute requests that were a bit outside the norm. Matthew (front desk 2 Aug) was so helpful and provided great information and helped us out immensely. Thank you Matthew! The hotel is also very clean and nice. Highly recommend as you are within walking distance of all the major sites!
Home away from home
I spent over 12 weeks here for a work trip during COIVD-19. Not only were the rooms very clean and comfortable, the staff was superb. I cannot praise them enough for their kindness and attention to detail. They really made me feel at home during my stay.
