Home away from home
I spent over 12 weeks here for a work trip during COIVD-19. Not only were the rooms very clean and comfortable, the staff was superb. I cannot praise them enough for their kindness and attention to detail. They really made me feel at home during my stay.
Great Service in a Convenient Location
The staff is extremely helpful and gracious. Any issue is quickly dealt with. Guests here are treated with the utmost respect. My room was clean and very comfortable. I was very content here during a stay that lasted more than three weeks. I cannot comment on hotel facilities as many were closed during this period to do to coronavirus restrictions.
Fairmont you did it again
This is a hotel with perfect location, decoration and service. The location is about 5 minute walk from the subway station. Everything is superb. the beds and pillows are quite large and comfortable. Breakfast is average.
Fairmont won't refund money for rooms booked during Georgetown's INDEFINITELY POSTPONED graduation ceremony
I am a Fairmont Gold member and have spent thousands of dollars at this hotel over the last four years that my daughter has been a student at Georgetown. I have recommended this hotel to colleagues and fellow parents. When I booked the room for graduation ceremonies, all rooms were NONREFUNDABLE, given that people were booking for this event. Now that graduation has been postponed INDEFINITELY, I attempted to cancel and get my money back. A very smug hotel manager refused and attempted to placate me with the opportunity to use my "deposit" (the full room rate for five nights, over $2000) any time before the end of the year. Not knowing if/when graduation will be rescheduled, or if travel anywhere in the continental US will be advised, this is not an acceptable solution. Especially given the fact that I have immunocompromised people in my family and my daughter will no longer be living in DC as a graduating senior. I am infuriated and will no longer patronize this brand.
A Very Memorable Holiday
The Fairmont is a very nice hotel, the room was spacious, the bed was firm just the way we like it,the staff were friendly & very helpful, the hotel was kept clean & the rooms well serviced they had a place to make hot drinks which was great as being a brit I love my tea plus there is a coffee making machine,there is also a well stocked mini bar, in the closet there is a wall safe that is easy to use,the bathroom was big with a bath/powerful shower,also in the hotel is a gym& spa.We had trouble getting our etickets, big thanks go the concierge on the tuesday night who went out of his way to book our seats booked & the tickets printed so thank you to Cameron for your help. The staff on the door helped us with directions and transport tips there are plenty of places to get meals & the metro station was only a few blocks away at Foggy Bottom a great help in getting around to see the many attactions. A memorable holiday & a memorable hotel hope to go back one of these years A Big Thank you to The Fairmont
