Visit to the Riverwalk
We’ve been to this property before and it’s in a great location to pop out right on the Riverwalk and head to activities, dining, etc...so, we returned with our two teenagers this time to explore San Antonio with them. Property was very clean, lovely room, friendly staff, and as I mentioned, great location. Downsides were they wouldn’t clean the room unless you were there for a minimum of 4 days....we do understand COVID protocols and appreciate them, but most properties are saying as long as you wish the room to be serviced and are out of the room for a period of time, they’ll clean it. The other thing that was a bit bizarre was as Lifetime Titaniums there is no breakfast option at all...not even a credit at the coffee shop. They credit your bill for $15 for the entire stay...not per day or per person. We’ve never really seen anything like that before. But, room was comfortable, the shower has seen better days and could use to be refurbished. But, we’d probably stay again if it weren’t for the odd breakfast thing.

Was excited for a girls trip to San Antonio RiverWalk. Picked out this beautiful hotel and was very disappointed!!!! Only 1 bottle of water in the room! Really!! Not very helpful with anything. Bar closed Saturday, restaurant closed. This is Saturday at 6:00 pm. Not enough coffee cups and water in room. How do you make coffee without water and you have to buy coffee if you would like one, no complimentary coffee. Was to believe there was parking along with hotel room and there is NOT! 25.00 per day. We looked up before we booked and was lead to believe there was free parking. Understand, yes about covid,BUT cannot say it was all because of covid. I would not stay here again. Next girl trip to RiverWalk will be at a different hotel. RiverWalk was amazing, would come back for that.

This was our first time staying at a westin property. We always stay at the Rivercenter and riverwalk Marriotts or the JW Hill Country everytime we visit SA. We decided to stay at this westin as my mom wanted to try the ‘heavenly bed’ before purchasing one! Mallarie at the front desk was warm, gracious and welcoming! Her hospitality will be another reason to stay there again! Housekeeping team did an excellent job and the room was very clean. The ‘safety stickers’ on the door, refrigerators made us feel even safer! There were some unexpected problem with 2 of the 4 elevators on Sunday morning and we noticed several guests complaining at the desk. Again, Mallarie and the other lady working that morning shift (3/28) handled every guest very efficiently! Thank you for all you do and we look forward to visiting you soon!
Cannot recommend - service lacking and horrible amenities
So disappointed with this hotel, I'm not sure where to start. But here goes: 1. Check-in is extremely slow. The luggage handlers insisted on helping us, even after we declined, then expected a tip. 2. The morning cafe didn't have any coffee brewed. ?????? 3. The restaurant service for dinner was extremely slow and tables were dirty with old dishes on them. 4. We couldn't use the pool because a reservation is required. 5. The gift shop is closed all the time. Nowhere to get drinks or snacks. 6. Every time you call down to the front desk to ask for something they act like it's a pain. We are lifetime titanium members and have never experience this poor of a stay anywhere. Whats the point of being lifetime titanium if the staff doesn't recognize it and go above and beyond. For a Westin, this is highly disappointing. I've had better service at a Fairfield Inn.
We had a reservation for Valentine’s Day. The same time the worst winter storm in Texas State history came through. We canceled our reservation 48 hours prior to the stay. The hotel refused to give any type of refund, discount or credit. Westin refused to give any explanation as to why they choose to purposely rip off its patrons. I’ve spoken to several people who have had the exact same experience with Westin.
