Average service/great beds
I stayed at this hotel last month and it was okay. The beds are great but the service wasn't anything "wow". Front Desk was good, the restaurant not so much. I had high expectatioms since my friends were recommending us the hotel.
Shopping at the Galleria ?, this is the place to Stay
Two night stay, last week of March 2021. Very Clean Room, King on the 18th Floor, Resort quality Shower, quiet, clean very Covid compliant. Room attendants work very hard and do a great job, exquisite sheets, comfortable bed. This is not a resort style hotel, No Spa, 2nd class Pool - Front Desk refer to themselves as a convention hotel. Concierge service was being recalled after a covid furlough, they will be back in three weeks. No restaurant within the hotel, you need to go outside into the mall where are you will find high end restaurants and unlimited shopping opportunities. Never tried Room Service, so I don't know if it's available, now that Covid is ending (in Texas) we will see what services are restored & when.
Great valet attendants!
It was a busy weekend and the valet attendants were so helpful and friendly! We really appreciate their kindness and services even when they were busy. They were also all very quick and efficient. Thanks!
Not Worth the Money
Opted to stay in the vibrant area and this particular hotel because it was connected to the Galleria Mall. At 195USD a night any guest would have expected more, but then again, looking at guest reviews online, we should have been forewarned. It would have been wiser and much cheaper to stay at the White Oaks Galleria Westin with a much lesser room rate. Why the low rating? A couple of reasons: 1. Reception/Check-In was a mob scene. There was no order and no particular attention given to Bonvoy members. 2. Reception Associate made no mention of or thank me for Titanium Elite for Life status. 3. It was as if we were on a scavenger hunt. At one point, we came down and had to ask if there were an executive lounge (there is but extremely limited service and offerings). 4. In the morning, again, we had to go back down to the desk and find breakfast options. Why weren't we told at check-in of the courtesy card for the diner in the mall given to elite members? 5. The room is not well-suited for the business traveler. It lacks proper resources for charging technology.
The best bellman
The bellman was full of personality and very helpful and courteous. He took a great care of my luggage and was prompt to bring the luggage quickly for us to leave for the competition. Mark was our Bellman upon arrival and departure and he was great!
