We love the Peabody and will always stay there when we go to Memphis. They also did a great job with social distancing and following CDC guidelines. Highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to get back there!
Overnight stop off
Could not ask for better service at the front desk and everywhere else. Would certainly recommend staying here. So much history to observe, Everything was wonderful during our stay, no complaints. Front desk was able to accommodate our request for adjoining rooms at the last minute.
Less than enjoyable trip
The area around the hotel was filthy. Everywhere we walked smelled like urine and there were homeless people everywhere. We felt like we were restricted to the hotel grounds. This was a very disappointing trip. Memphis really needs to cleanup its city.. We won't be back.
We’ll be back!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff was so accommodating, kind, and helpful. The room was so quiet and cozy. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. Has a large pool, hot tub, nice gym, and you have to see the ducks walk! There were many restaurants, shops, and a spa as well. I would recommend this hotel any day! We will definitely be back.
Stayed for the Duck experience and wanted a top-notch boutique hotel stay after a long drive. Granted it was during COVID weekend, but desk staff upon check-in was slow and there ended up being a line of 6 guests to check in at 7 p.m. One front desk manager was tied up with a guest over a $20 debit charge that wouldn't go through while the other decided to pick up a phone call! This resulted in a 30 minute wait to check in. Our room was a 2 bedded double instead of an executive king, or any type king for that matter, and was tight. The bathroom was barely larger than the closet in the room. Needless to say, the stay was not a comfortable one and we chose to cancel our second evening. The restaurants, served in the lobby bar, was top-notch. The staff was very attentive and very diligent in guest placement to allow for social distancing. Service was great and servers were properly COVID compliant and friendly. When we cancelled our second night and checked out, we got the impression from the front desk individual, that he really didn't care about our dissatisfaction - no questions about why, "What can we do?", etc. Hotel property is spectacular and we regularly stay at "boutique" or "unique" properties knows for service, location and character. Unfortunately, the Peabody disappointed with regard to service (at least front desk wise) and room comfort on this stay.
