'Was here for a girls trip for a few days last week. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly and amazing. The room itself was plenty big, but the bathroom is very small. However; the walk in closet is HUGE! The beds and linens were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The towels were big and fluffy and replaced every day. A few covid things - no real glass cups for water or coffee - just the cheap plastic stuff. Be sure to visit the in hotel restaurant - The Swamp Fox. The meals are reasonably priced and the portions are very large. You are located right on King Street so you're in the middle of all the action - restaurants, clubs, shops. Great place to stay!
Fantastic location, historic hotel
We just stayed here for a night after a late flight from the West Coast. Check in was easy and the staff was lovely. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. We were upgraded to a suite on the 12th floor with an amazing view, kitchenette, and washer and dryer. Weirdly, no dishes or utensils in the kitchen, not an issue for our one night it just seemed strange. We had originally booked 2 queens since we were traveling with our 9 yo son. The suite had a pull out couch, but no bedding that we could find. The mattress on the pull out felt pretty horrible, even for a 9 yo, so we just opted to all pile in to the king sized bed instead of calling down for bedding. The location was outstanding, right on King's street.
What a View
We had a suite on the 11th floor because we needed two bedrooms. Room 1100 offered a fabulous view on two sides of King Street and the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. The suite came with a King Size bed and a sofa in another room where our son slept. For two mornings we had breakfast in our room. The food always arrived fast and hot. We stayed here several years ago and hope to return.
This is a wonderful vintage hotel that was built in 1924. We had a reasonably large room with a very big closet. Bathroom was small, however, and typical of a hotel almost 100 years old. It is very convenient to almost everything downtown and parking in the adjacent garage was ok too. This is a full service hotel with all of the amenities.
Just got back from a great stay. Our room was on the 9th floor and had a great view of the park across street. Very clean and were happy with the complimentary water bottles. This hotel is in a great location. We didn't drive our car while we were there. Parking garage is located next door. Room very clean and friendly staff. The Swamp Fox restaurant is located there, and there is also a Starbucks on site. Our room was fine for 2 people, but the bathroom is the smallest I've ever seen, but it was totally fine. Comfortable beds. Would stay here again.
