Thompson Hotel downtown Seattle
The hospitality team members at Thompson made our 4-night stay great despite of the Covid situation. The location is also great to visit Public Market and morning run along the river to Space Needle..
The rooftop bar was closed, which is the only reason I booked it. You would think they'd give adiscount. My friend from out of town didn't get to see the view. So after paying over 50$ a night for parking, over $500 for room...this. oh and water is $9...
Thank you for Refunding Due to Covid!
We are yet to experience your wonderful hotel after our trip from Australia was cancelled due to Covid 19. Thankfully your hotel refunded our money in full, even though it was a non-refundable paid in full reservation. We are ever so grateful for the return of our hard earned money and will definitely use your services when we hopefully get to travel overseas again. ✈️❤️ You are such an ethical and caring company, unlike The Rocky Mountaineer, who unfortunately are not refunding any money to us back in Australia for cancelled tours, however they are refunding UK citizens. The Rocky Mountaineer have $13,000 AUD of our hard earned money, and have already had it for nearly 12 months, and goodness knows when we will be able to travel overseas again from here in Australia. We are doing it tough here in Melbourne at the moment, like many in the world, and the way The Rocky Mountaineer are treating their customers is causing undue stress and financial strain in what already is a tragic and mentally challenging time for us all. 😢 Thankfully you at Thompson Seattle care. ❤️
While the staff was friendly and professional, my overall experience was underwhelming. I understand things are weird with covid right now, but the breakfast was a joke. It was essentially a 7 eleven grab bag. They also made zero accommodations for me needing to eat gluten free (I have Celiac disease). I would expect more from a 4 star hotel.
no room cleaning during covid
My husband & I stayed for 4 nights in Sept 2020, and we were told the room would not be cleaned during those 5 days due to covid restrictions. We did not realize this before booking and feel like it was not advertised. Bathroom has just a sliding door, so there is no sound barrier... which is lacking in privacy in my opinion. Bathroom lighting was ok, not great for applying makeup. Rainfall shower had good water pressure. The room was mostly quiet (we were on the 7th floor), except our last night when we were woken up at 5am due to garbage trucks outside. They were loud, sounded initially like a construction site. Best part of the hotel was its location, right next to Pike Place Market. Overall, it was clean & staff was nice. We would probably stay here again if push came to shove, but it would not be our first choice.
