New Year Trip 2020
We took a trip to Seattle on New Year's day and stayed at a Kimpton for 3 nights. We had never been to Seattle or a Kimpton. The Kimpton Alexis was great! This is a boutique Hotel, but it has everything you need. Evan at the front desk checked-us in, he was friendly and helpful. He gave us a great room and also provided us with a map and most popular locations near the hotel. We wanted a coffee and small breakfast and he recommended Grand Central Bakery, this place was SO good! Thank you Evan!! They also have Wine/beer and hor d'oeuvres hour from 5pm-6pm, they only have 1 kind of beer and wine but it was tasty and a great way to start the night before heading out for dinner. The location is great, we walked to the Pike's Market and to the pier a couple of times. Also, we walked to to monorail that takes you to the Space Needle. There is a convenient store across the street from the hotel if you need to get any snacks, coffee, water etc. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back!
Upgraded to a one bedroom suite upon check-in. Very spacious and the fireplace is a bonus. Very quiet, clean, and comfortable room. All the staff we encountered were professional and very hospitable. This is our second stay here within a month and we ABSOLUTELY love it!!!
I don’t have enough great things to say about The Kimpton Alexis in Seattle. They went so far beyond the service level we were expecting. Being that Christmas is a hard time of year for some I was anxious for everything to go smoothly. Unfortunately as we arrived at the hotel our car died. That could have ended up being a snowball effect of negativity for our holiday but the staff at Kimpton made sure that wasn’t the case. Every staff member - bartenders, the door men and the front desk team were beyond friendly and accommodating to us. I’m also not talking about “scripted robot service”, they were all genuinely nice people with smiles on their faces despite the fact that they had to work for the holiday season. The woman at the front desk not only printed out papers directing us to nearby Audi dealerships but offered to help PUSH our car into the underground lot. Again, we’re blown away by the hospitality and will visit the Kimpton again soon as I’m sure they can’t be surpassed in their level of service. Another bonus... the most dog friendly hotel we’ve stayed at, Gary loved it! Thanks again for being phenomenal!
Fantastic location, nice amenities, dog friendly
The location of this beautiful hotel is nearly perfect for a downtown Seattle experience. It's within walking distance to stadiums, waterfront, great restaurants, and the market. The property is clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary coffee and tea is nice, and the library area is a fantastic place to chill. The property is pet friendly, and our large dogs were welcomed with open doors. A misunderstanding on my part created a panic situation when I learned that parking was first come, first served, and they don't have much in the way for large cars. But the staff was so accommodating, they made it work out. The place was packed and chaotic before a big game, and somehow, the staff managed to get us taken care of when another oversight on my part (I'm so sorry Alexis people!) caused a room switch at the last minute. They even sent up snacks and a note thanking us for our patience. Excellent customer service. The only downsides here are the limited parking and the garbage collection at o-dark-thirty. From the second floor, the noise of emptying dumpsters and trucks backing up jolted us from our peace pretty startlingly. 10/10 would stay here again. Thanks for your hard work Alexis.
Raul, Kimpton Alexis are A+
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Alexis in Seattle, starting with Raul at reception. He was warm, kind, and incredibly gracious, setting us up for a truly awesome stay. Seriously, Raul—you are the bomb. The location is excellent, too. Easy walking distance to the waterfront, Pike’s Place, the Seattle Art Museum, a neat Starbucks Reserve, and even a Target if you need travel items. Anytime we’re in Seattle, this is where we’re staying!
