Staff hustle quite aggressively for tips
Just a quick walk off Times Square. Arriving at the hotel, expect to be intercepted by eager staff with their hands out. You could spend $50 getting to your room and more checking out. I’m an experienced tipper but this was just in your face. Bit intense. Had a high room with a good view - good modern fitout. Given the room quality - room rates were ambitious - glad somebody else footed the bill.
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights here in early March, (thankfully!) prior to the Covid situation. Upon check in we were allocated the wrong room (we had paid for upgrade at the time of booking). However, this was resolved extremely promptly and with no hassle following a visit to the reception desk and as a result did not taint our stay. Our room was very clean and had all of the required amenities. The views were superb and the bed was truly the comfiest I have ever slept in. The location of this hotel is fantastic, a great base to be able to explore from. All of the staff were friendly and courteous. I very much look forward to staying here again when we return the city.
This hotel is lovely. It is very modern and staff are polite and attentive. Although it is in Times Square, the hotel and the area itself do not feel too busy. You are not far from anything. I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit New York again.
Comfortable, clean, and welcoming
We visited the Westin New York with our two young children. The hotel was clean and the communal areas very modern and sleek. The rooms were small but had enough space for what we needed. Staff were very welcoming, and the gym was well equipped for a jet lagged work out. The cab service from the hotel was very useful and the location is fantastic for Broadway and times square. Lovely hotel.
Me and my family stayed for 6 days. Really lovely hotel, very clean, very safe and the staff were very helpful. A great central location with only about a 5 minute max walk to Times Square and local subway stations. We stayed in a level 28 room which had an amazing view, i would recommend a higher floor room as i thought it was great. Lots of lifts coming up and down every few seconds and they only took a few seconds to even get to the higher floors. The room was really nice, spacious and clean. The lobby had lots of seating areas and free WiFi. Local to quite a lot of restaurants, i would recommend the Times Eatery just over the road. Overall, a great hotel and i would recommend!
